A collective, quiet gasp rippled through the older Lunas sitting behind me. Resting on a white satin pillow was the Moonlit Comb. It was a stunning, ancient piece of silver, carved expertly to display the eight phases of the moon. Embedded in the center of the silver arches were three large, flawless blue diamonds that caught the bright spotlight and scattered tiny blue prisms across the stage. My breath caught in my throat.

Lalaine was shocked when she found Stella laying on the floor, the moon light illuminates her like flittering lights in the night. The crystal orbs surrounds her, slowly lifting her from the ground. She immediately called out Nana, Aeriol, Nathaniel, and Lynx. Aeriol immediately pull out Stella from the illuminating light and lay her to bed. Nathaniel and Lynx looks out the window and saw a beautiful red rose. As if the moon light blessing it. The more light it absorb, the radiant the color gets. Lynx trails back to Leis last words.

With the last book touched by my fingertips, I decided to leave for today and return tomorrow early, to browse properly this time. When I looked at the big glass window of the library, the moon was already up, giving a majestic glow into the room, multiplied by the glass as it gives that surreal feel when passing by. The ornaments laid out in the sofas and tables placed in front of the glass window glints by the moonlight, as if they’re gems and jewels. Even the little pieces of glass that stood like a little mountain by the table. ‘Wait, little piece of glasses?’

Oliver squinted his eyes in disbelief. "What is a werewolf doing among the humans?" He asked. His head snapped up as the air was suddenly filled with a loud roar. "I need to go," he said. "I would have loved to drag you with me my dear mate, but that would be no fun." As he turned to leave, I noticte an ornament around on of his arm. A beautiful clear crystal bracelet surrounding one arm and carrying the symbol of the White crescent wolf pack. My heart dropped to my stomach.

We bent to read the plaque. "Luna Jessica of the Blood Moon pack, the second of the pack to be Corrupted, victim of the Silver Hands." the plaque read. "Your mother," Mabel told me. She walked to a cabinet I hadn't noticed and got out a round, white rock. It was big enough to fit in the cup of her palms. "Moon rock," she told me. "Harnesses the light of the moon. It captures moonlight, and releases it when the user needs it."

She puts her right fist over her heart in some sort of salute and moves to the front of the group. The group leads me to a strip of clothing stores off the main street, and Claire gasps. She makes a beeline for a little pop-up cart that has figurines, and because I’m curious, I follow. “These are amazing,” she whispers, picking up a slightly blue colored glass figure of a woman. “This is Moon glass, the only substance, other than moon stone, that we believe to be spiritually connected to the Goddess, kind of like how humans believe crystals have special abilities.”

The glass was translucent and so she couldn't see what was on the other side of it but just upon reaching it something happened. The translucent glass turned transparent and seeing what was on the other side, Molly's heart dropped as she took a quick step back. It was a view that was so out of the world it took her breath away, and not in the good way. It was a view of a dark sky with ten moons arranged in a smooth arch from one end of the night sky to the other; large moons that had craters on them and glowed with different colours. Degas paused, tightening his grip around his cane as he peered out the window. “What were the other four artifacts?” Chris asked, clearly more out of curiosity than much else. Degas seemed to be expecting this question. “The other artifacts were a moonfeather for Moonrise, a shard of moonglass for Moonshine, a moonseed that grew into a mighty tree for New Moon, and a moonpetal frozen in amber for Crescent Moon,” he continued. He paused again, and this time, there was a tense silence in the room as he slowly turned around again to regard Chris with a stern glare.

"A drink made from moonlight. It was most commonly used by wolves to make unwilling mates... willing. It's waters that have been bathed in moonlight for centuries upon centuries. It doesn't do anything to humans, except give them diarrhea from drinking dirty cave water. To shifters, however, it makes them completely primal when it comes to sexual desires. The black glass turned translucent, then white, until it was a piece of pure, polished quartz that glowed with a soft interior light. I handed it back to him. "Then carry a lantern." He smiled, tucking the stone away. We looked out at the horizon, where the Moon was beginning to rise—a perfect, silver circle in a sky that was finally clear.
