***TYLER** I lay low on top of the bridge as I stared at the road below waiting for the vehicle I was expecting to pass by. Minerva De Martel, a Vampire baroness was going to be passing by this road soon, moving the Moon Tracker. Assuming the Petrova sisters weren't fucking with me and actually told me the truth, the Moon Tracker will be just on the roof of the car, in plain sight. The energy that radiated off the Moon Tracker was dangerous to Vampires so they couldn't keep it close to themselves.

The Khalifa pack, led by Alpha Ramirez was the most powerful pack in the whole country, and it was rumored that they got their strength and several victories from the moonbeam they had, a device that allowed them to talk directly with the moon goddess. The night Drea had planned to steal from Alpha Ramirez’s pack was also the night another pack had sent betas over to steal the same moon beam. They had all gotten caught, and Drea decided not to tell anyone she was from a different pack than the rest of the males. There was no need bringing more trouble down on her pack.

Oliver squinted his eyes in disbelief. "What is a werewolf doing among the humans?" He asked. His head snapped up as the air was suddenly filled with a loud roar. "I need to go," he said. "I would have loved to drag you with me my dear mate, but that would be no fun." As he turned to leave, I noticte an ornament around on of his arm. A beautiful clear crystal bracelet surrounding one arm and carrying the symbol of the White crescent wolf pack. My heart dropped to my stomach.

I shoved myself to my hands and knees, gasping, and looked up. Something moved between the trees. A shadow. Low to the ground. Eyes glowing yellow in the darkness. My breath caught in my throat. It stepped closer, and I saw the outline of it—massive, hunched, its lips pulled back in a snarl that showed too many teeth. Rogue. I scrambled backward, my hands slipping in the mud, and my back hit a tree. No. No, no, no… The rogue circled me slowly, its eyes locked on mine. I could smell it now—rot and blood and something feral that made my stomach turn.

The glow brightened. Then suddenly— Another faint light appeared beside it. A softer glow. Pale blue. Luna’s eyes snapped open. “What was that?” Mira smiled. “The Moon of Tides.” Luna stared at the glowing energy in her hand. “I can use other moons too?” “Not all of them,” Mira explained. “But some may answer your call.” Kael and Aeron watched from the hill below. Aeron whispered. “That’s new.” Kael nodded slowly. “And powerful.”

The Lunar Moss responded instantly, surging upward in thick, ropey tendrils that entangled the glass guardians, pinning them to the lunar floor. "She let out firmly then walked away, humming a song. Evans knitted his brows in confusion. How did she know his name? The pack? What did she mean by that? He widened his eyes as he realized he had seen a tattoo of the moon on her neck, even though it was not really noticeable he could see it. He had a drawing like that on his back,his mother had told him it was just a normal birthmark. He looked around and noticed that she was gone. Was she a student of the university too?
