My Salvation, My Damnation

My Salvation, My Damnation

You don't know any of this, do you? Penny stared in terror. Her lips were trembling, and she couldn't utter a single word. All those details she had once glossed over, the gaps she had covered up with her being too young to remember clearly, now became evidence that crushed her lies. The muscles in Leon's face twitched as he forced out a smile more painful than crying. The real savior was Veronica! What had he done in return? He used her kidney to save her enemy! And he let her mother die based on lies!

Contract With Alpha Theodore

Contract With Alpha Theodore

The murmurs of the crowd grew louder. Then Zander's phone rang. A moment later, he hung up, his face grim. "The baby... didn't make it." When Veronica heard that Melinda had lost the baby, she staggered back, nearly losing her balance. Cyrus was too shocked to speak. "Murderer! Vanya, you're a murderer!" Under pressure, Denis walked over to Vanya. "Ms. Dalton, do you have any evidence to prove you didn't do this?" Veronica immediately snapped. "Denis! What is the meaning of this? Are you taking Vanya's side?"

LUCAN VALE: THE GHOST ASSASSIN

LUCAN VALE: THE GHOST ASSASSIN

Then, he looked up, his gaze sweeping past Jason and locking onto his nephew. “Charlie, what is this garbage?” Lance’s voice was low, but it cut through the room. Charlie stiffened. Lance who looked to be on his side earlier was now mad at him? “It’s proof! It’s what that parasite has been doing behind Vanessa’s back!” “Proof?” Lance let out a short, incredulous laugh. He tossed the photo back onto the table. “This isn’t proof. It’s a cheap fake.” The family stared at him, stunned. Even Seraphina, who was already defending Jason, froze with a gasp. “Lance, what are you talking about?”

Vero said getting to her feet "Why? Something tells me not to" "Well, you better tell that stupid feeling to keep shut. Lena. This is a breakthrough for you. You don't have to work or pay for this crappy apartment anymore. You finally have the man you want." "Even though it's a contract?" "What? Both of you would fall in love with each other within the space of a year" "Uh... Veronica, I don't know" "Listen, I know what's best for you. Your cousin must be very stupid to let go of this kind of offer"

Clean Verdict, Dirty Truth

Clean Verdict, Dirty Truth

Even if a car ran them over, it would leave nothing more than a few scratches. There was no way they could shatter into cold, broken pieces from a simple fall. I stared at the rolling wall of venomous comments. I stared at Eric's face as he twisted the truth without blinking. Every word I wanted to say clogged in my throat. What was the point of reasoning with an animal? Seeing my silence, Eric thought he had won. A trace of smugness crept into his voice. He pressed on while the iron was hot.

In his eyes

In his eyes

The words on the paper, the key to unlocking the truth, were now within reach, ready to shatter the fragile peace and set the course of their lives forever. The truth was that Veronica had succumbed to a moment of weakness while she was dating Ted, her night with Scott had been a one time thing. The sex was hot and steamy fueled by passion, anger and lust. Veronica was convinced the baby was Ted's but as the doctor brought out the test result, Veronica doubted her stance.

Book of Mirrors I: The Celestials

"Seriously, is sex the only thing on your mind?" Veronica's brow furrowed, seemingly in deep contemplation at LJ's question. The angel sighed. He meant it as a rhetorical question, of course. She was the Princess of Lust, after all. But Veronica was intent on answering it, anyway. She kicked herself off the sofa, producing a bottle of wine and a glass out of thin air. Veronica took a big gulp of wine before answering, "Most of the time, yes. I mean, I do have Asmodeus' mark. But I think about killing people and destroying things, too. I was Satan's second choice, you see."

Obsession of the King: A Luna’s Revenge

Obsession of the King: A Luna’s Revenge

Veronica’s POV “For the sin of stealing the virren moonstone and attempting to kill the Five Elders by poison, here stands Veronica Crysmorra, former Vameer, and Luna of the pack to receive her divine punishment.” There was utter silence. I thought that my heart would beat fast in fear for my fate but perhaps I am too dead inside to feel any of it. Everyone was looking at me— in disdain, disappointment, anger, and many other things.

So far this book deserves way more than 5 stars. The Female lead is multi faceted, tough and intelligent. The male lead is top tier. Their chemistry is off the charts and the story itself is interesting with appropriately paced plot development. It's hard to find books this good on this app.

Best part of the story is the great villain because her stepmother is evil and smart effective and not like other shallow villain. It's like she is the same with Veronica. Their relationship is deep. Her revenge plans are justified. The main focus is her but the curse of Sebastian is intriguing also

The Luna Choosing Game

The Luna Choosing Game

Jane Above Storymy boss kissed me
“She started it. Why shouldn’t we use her tactics against her? She lost her right to decency the moment she targeted Elva.” The words held truth, but something held me back yet. Jane was more monster than person now, but… did that mean it was okay to stoop to her level? I looked at Veronica. She stood very still, but that wasn’t unusual. She saw me watching. “Do not hold back on my account. I have no qualms against doing what is necessary. In fact, I might enjoy using their training against them.” I believed that to an extent. But… to cast her curse against Elva, Jane had to sacrifice something dear to her. Would whatever Veronica sacrificed be worth it to curse Jane?

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!! This book is almost 600 chapters and it’s not even close to ending. Read the first 20 chapters then skip to about 550 because the rest is going in circles and making out and dry h*mping in closets And Piper almost dies 50 times. Nick won’t claim her. Now your caught up

Put 5 stars so my comment stays at top. This book is literally never-ending and I feel is just becoming a cash grab. The same scenarios keep repeating themselves in different ways and the plot does not progress. We're at 589 chapters in and only NOW seem like we're POSSIBLY getting some progression.
