Ms. York's Second Proposal

Ms. York's Second Proposal

She grabbed her bag next to her seat and tried to get up a few times. "10 million dollars," Damon said coldly without moving his eyes off her. "Uh…" She hesitated for a moment. "Damon, will you be quick?" Veronica's look clearly implied that she might tolerate it for the money. However, this was a blunt question, and it made Damon's expression turn cold. "Damon, I didn't mean that, really. But if you insist and offer that much money… maybe I can tolerate it, but I've never been with a man. I…" Veronica started to explain herself. She was clearly torn between money and morals.

Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother

Alpha's Regret After I Mated to His Brother

"The silver contamination was superficial. With proper follow-up care, there should be no lasting damage." Relief washed over me so powerfully that Emily whimpered with gratitude inside me. "What's going on?" I asked Caleb, bewildered by the woman standing near him. Before he could answer, Veronica struggled to her feet, her perfect hairdo now disheveled. "You!" she spat. "This is all your fault!" I pulled Ethan closer, but the elegant woman stepped between us. "Back off," she warned Veronica. "Unless you want another demonstration." I looked to Lucian in confusion. He stood in the doorway, surveying the scene with a cool, calculating gaze. Though his face remained impassive, his wolf's domi

My One and Only

My One and Only

She said. The words angered the pack and John as she spoke ill of their ex-Luna, making growls echo the cell walls. Lucas didn't believe that this was just because Veronica didn't like his mother. It had to be more than that and he wanted to know. Deciding with another question, "why would you kill Miss Lillian?! She was innocent. She was just an old lady!" "She was a back stabbing b*tch." Veronica hissed. "So I stabbed her in the back... literally."

The Alpha's Rejected Mate

The Alpha's Rejected Mate

I stammered, my voice trembling, "Veronica was innocent in all of this. She didn't deserve to be used for our gain." Her smile grew wider, a wicked glint in her eyes. "Oh, Lucas, you underestimate the power of the throne. With Veronica gone, you are free to rule without the burden of a potential rival. Your path to the crown is now unobstructed." I felt a sickening mix of guilt and horror as her words sank in. Was this the woman I had turned to for guidance and comfort? My mother, the one who should have taught me right from wrong? I struggled to comprehend the twisted perspective she now revealed.

His Distant Human Mate

His Distant Human Mate

Lila shrugged. "This used to be my home. A long time ago," Lila's voice trailed off as Veronica's vision was suddenly clouded by a memory that was not hers. She was yelling at a man. He was angry and talking down about witches. Veronica was blinded by rage at the man. She muttered a phrase from her lips as she pointed a finger at the man. Veronica knew that the person in her vision had cursed the man. However, she did not know what language was used. "Veronica?" Lila asked. Her brows were drawn together. Although in confusion not in concern. She was never concerned for anyone other than herself.

The Alpha’s Accidental Mate

The Alpha’s Accidental Mate

Albert screams but his screams die down when she snaps his neck. I glance at Lambert. He gives me a wild look before shifting himself and running straight for the window. He runs through it, breaking the glass, and then he begins howling louder than I’ve ever heard any wolf howl before. Veronica and I are alone in the room. Oddly enough, although I’ve just seen her kill a man who was our best friend for years, I don’t fear her. My hatred has only increased. “You’ve lost your mind, Veronica,” I tell her. “You don’t deserve to live.”

I absolutely LOVED this book! A couple chapters were frustrating with constant errors almost like it was rushed & not edited. BUT...with that being said, it wasn't throughout the whole book, only a few chapters otherwise it was sporadic little errors. I really suggest to read this story! refreshing

I enjoyed reading this book and felt that the plot was actually quite original and refreshing compared to the usual stories on here. I was disappointed with the ending as it was more of a summary than actual dialogue amongst the characters like the rest of the book. Just seemed to fizzle out

Homicide Squad

Homicide Squad

"Isn't everything settled now?" "No, the police will want to take Veronica away." "Well isn't that what is supposed to happen?" Joana asked. "I mean Cassandra is a part of her, isn't she? And she killed Raymond and Sylvester... Why is that a problem." "Veronica doesn't deserve to be locked up and treated badly for something she wasn't aware of until now." Grace said. "Besides, Veronica kept her under control, you all saw that else I would be dead by now--"

Seduction of the Night-Shift Nurses

Seduction of the Night-Shift Nurses

"Wait… what? Why? Why am I in the video? You filthy whore, how dare you frame me!" With a loud slap, Veronica was struck across the face. Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth. "Dr. McCartney, I… I didn't do this. I didn't mean to harm you. I remember now, it was Delilah! Delilah set me up." But what use were her words now? "Enough, enough. No more arguing," the director intervened. "Dr. McCartney, you may leave. Veronica, Landon, stay behind. I have something to say." The director's words left no room for argument, and Dr. McCartney had no choice but to comply.

The rogue king is mine

The rogue king is mine

I just knew that the message conveyed in that letter wasn't a lie. I had known Veronica since childhood, and I knew what she was capable of doing. She had never once been compassionate, and would rather risk the world to save her rough skin. Her two-faced was just disturbing. Lauwren looked at me, obviously curious to know what I was thinking, but I ignored her questioning gaze and instead turned to look at the table and the wall.

The Wrong Night with Mr. Right

The Wrong Night with Mr. Right

‘Who are you to Logan? ‘I’m Mr Wilde’s assistant,’ Terence calmly responded. ‘Are you Miss Jansen’s friend?’ Veronica’s irritation flared upon realising that the man before her was associated with Logan. Annoyed, she retorted, ‘Why is it any of your concern?’ Terence was surprised by her attitude. ‘Miss, why are you speaking so rudely?’ ‘I say what I want,’ Veronica shot back. ‘Who are you to care about who I am?’
