I stepped back slowly. He stepped forward. A name surfaced from old whispers. Mordren. A rogue who had once belonged to the Iron Vale pack before slaughtering two of his own in a frenzy and vanishing beyond the borders. I had never believed the stories. Until now. “Mordren,” I breathed. The sound of his name only seemed to excite him. His muscles coiled. I turned and ran. Branches tore at my clothes as I sprinted. My lungs burned almost instantly. I was fast, but not fast enough.

The rage boiling in him as he regretted letting her get away in the first place General Mordrid marched into the room and noticed that the king wasn't in a good mood, he knew he needed to mind his words or he might end up like the girl that was being carried out. “Prepare the army, we are storming the Crescent Moon pack in a moment's time.” General Mordred saluted and went on his way, a smile etched on his lips as finally he would be able to take his anger out on those false werewolves.
