I felt angry when we reached his door but decided not to knock; instead, we pushed the door open. As we stepped into the dimly lit room, the sunlight barely piercing through the heavy curtains, we found Mark sprawled across his bed, his disheveled hair a testament to the previous night’s escapades. He stirred awake, his movements sluggish and bleary, clearly taken aback by our sudden intrusion. The alarm clock on his nightstand blinked furiously as if echoing the chaos of his night. ANTHONY’S POV The next morning, I didn’t rush. I woke up before the alarm, left my phone face down, and took my time getting ready. For once, I didn’t jump straight into my inbox. I wasn’t in the mood to watch the silence. Mark was already downstairs when I made it to the sitting room. I sigh as I think this over; Sunday is supposed to be a big day. It’s the day I hope this nightmare ends.

One by one, Gomez's men filed out until the room was empty. “Oh, please.” He turned to me before he left “Tell Sanders I hope this stays here and doesn’t spread. I'm cleaning up my son's shit and I hope he turns his nose away from my business.
