I smiled nervously. “I won't try to convince you, you will see for yourself,” she concluded while whipping her phone out to watch TikTok. “Do I know any guests? Have I met anyone of them?” I asked her, certainly sure that there was a possibility that I wouldn't know anyone apart from the enemies I made in the mafia ball. “Yes, I think you do. Unfortunately, I had to invite Xavier Brecks, the leader of the Scorpions and the leader of Snakes.” She sighed, I shivered at the mention of Scorpion, I hope I will be given a gun to hold in case it's needed.

Jake replied with a sheepish grin. “See?” Daniel gave him a cocky grin. “ This is why you should calm down. Your blood is just boiling for nothing.” “Buzz off.” Jake frowned, pushing his friend slightly. They faced the screen and resumed their game. “ Alright. If you have the guts, don't use Shao Khan..or Goro.” “Alright then.” Daniel laughed. He selected Sub zero while Jake chose Scorpion. “Perfect.” Jake smiled evilly. “Let the real game begin.”

Harbingers, divine ones, with a number enough to make up a small army, were bombarding the planet’s shields. “Ko'vren, switch to assault mode.” X finally spoke as he tapped a circular orb at the centre of the command deck. A hologram appeared, showing all the harbingers and the gentry defenders. He turned to me. “Take the wheel”, he said as he stood up and went to the door. “I need you to draw their attention while I kill them off with the annihilation spell.” He touched his chest and an emerald glow surrounded him. “Seriously man, can’t I get to fight one of them?” I sit in the chair and lock on to them. “They’re rare, you know.” X's eyes glowed as his hair turned pure white. I’m never tel

Bolt Doyen moved almost instantly as he vanished from the spot and attacked Kayson with a palm strike. Kayson hopped back and avoided him easily, looking at Bolt Doyen in confusion. “Peak middle-stage pre-celestial fighter?” He was surprised that Xander actually had an expert like this around him. Xander heaved, nearly scaring himself witless just now. “Oh, you’ve got the guts to send yourself here. huh?” “Why not?” Kayson smiled. Xander did not expect him to be so brazen and cried right away, “Bolt Doyen, kill him! I want him dead without any remains!”

NICK I was trying to select a new avatar on the Mortal Kombat game when I heard someone knocking the door. Excited to see April again, I threw the controller aside and hurried to the door. “Why’re you knocking when you can just open the d—” My mood soured when I pulled the door open and found Xander staring blankly at me with his hands in his pocket and his hair stuffed into a beanie. “What are you doing here?” I didn’t hide my annoyance at him when I asked that frostily.

His skinny body was shaking both in fear and weakness. The former Hutton would have rushed at me and fought, but this man here can easily be beaten by one of my guards in a few seconds. "Yes, that is your payment for taking Linda's life and making my life hell, even when I was still grieving for my family and pack extinction. You never cared. I am sorry, I don't care too..." I breathed, looking away as Xander's soft palm touched me. I knew he was going to plead on their behalf. Xander, whom everyone referred to as ruthless and evil, was going to beg them to keep them alive even though they were about to kill him.

“You will die here, your blood will be mine.” Thane struggled, his free hand grabbing weakly at Xandros’s arm. He felt the claws dig deeper, the pain blinding. Just as Xandros prepared to strike the final blow, a shadow moved in the corner of Thane’s vision. Kane appeared, his spear raised high. Without hesitation, he drove it into Xandros’s side with all his strength. The creature roared, stumbling back as the weapon pierced him. Kane grabbed Thane by the arm, pulling him away.

He said. “First is Bacchus. His real name is George Miller, one of the gang leader’s right hand. Then Atlas, real name is Mario Ching. He is their intelligence. Minotaur, real name is Fred Lim. I think he’s one of their snipers. Cupid is Jay Kenley. He’s their hacker. And Pegasus is Jacob Frias, best in hand to hand combat.” Miko announced. “Let’s hope that they are the only one here.” I said.

Standing around the glowing, holographic tactical table were the leaders of the new digital world. Marcus (DragonSlayer99), the towering Paladin and Commander of the Ghost Army, leaned heavily on his silver broadsword. Next to him stood Jax, the glitch-kid, spinning the golden Admin Key around his index finger. And completing the triad was Brog, the massive NPC blacksmith, who looked incredibly out of place among the players, yet carried an aura of undeniable authority. "Wraith," Marcus nodded respectfully as Ren approached the table. "Report," Ren said, getting straight to the point. The phantom weight of the M-99 Archangel sniper rifle settled comfortably on his digital back.

Shift if you can, Zak calls to us through the mindlink. Covering each other, Xander, Devin, and I shift one at a time and truly start tearing into the enemies in front of us. I see Gael take down the beta of the Lycos Pack while Hakeem rips the throat from their delta. Charlie takes on two wolves at once, easily dodging their attacks and ripping into their sides with her fangs and claws. She leaves them to bleed out and moves on to the next fight. Brandon and Zak corner the alpha and beta of the Mani pack, their delta and gamma on the ground in front of them, killed by Charlie.
