Movie Christmas Story Novels & Stories

His little sister Carol was looking forward to seeing Santa Clause. Eddie went into the woods and cut a cedar tree for a Christmas Tree. Coral was excited Santa was coming soon. Eddie helped Coral decorate the tree. Paper was cut and Mama made glue out of flour and water. The paper was glued together to make interlocking rings. The strand of rings was placed around the Christmas Tree like garland. Eddie helped her cut paper and make snowflakes for the ornaments. It was a simple tree with no lights. In the eyes of Carol, it was the perfect Christmas Tree. Eddie went hunting on the Christmas Eve and killed a deer for Christmas Dinner. Carol cried because he teased her and said it was Rudolph t

"Girl, you have got to learn to stop and smell the candy canes." Noel Holiday stood next to the bar where his brother Sam was pouring drinks. He smiled at his mother and sisters and shared a grimace with his brother Val, who was dodging secretaries and the mistletoe. Noel hated the office Christmas party, probably all the more so since he was the one saddled with the name of Noel Holiday and he'd been born on Christmas day. The old man had a sick fucking sense of humor. "Noel, can you run over and check the village display?" Nicholas Holiday called to his eldest son. "Something about the arrangement doesn't look quite right."

They were happier than they'd ever been, and it was still enough to take her breath away sometimes. "C'mon, let's run upstairs and change so we can get this over with," Liam held his hand out to her and she couldn't help the laugh that bubbled up through her. She'd never seen him so eager to take a picture in his life. An hour later, they were all on the couches in the living room, popcorn and various cookies strewn between them, watching A Christmas Story. They guys were in comfortable clothes but the girls were staying strong in their pajamas.

Are you kidding me? She whines in response, which, honestly, just pisses me off more. What am I supposed to do with that? ‘Stupid wolf,’ I mutter, rolling onto my side and clutching the pillow like it’s a life raft. This is officially the shittiest Christmas ever. Forget snowflakes and holiday cheer; all I’ve got is heartache and a wolf who seems to be on Team Lucas. Great. Just great. …… Mia

“Don’t be sorry, hon. You guys can kiss all you want, just so long as I don’t see either of you naked, it’s all good.” “Promise,” I said. “I’m going to get drinks, then we have to watch A Christmas Story.” “What’s that?” Kayla asked. “You’ve never seen A Christmas Story?” I asked in horror. “It’s like a tradition.” “We didn’t have a lot of those, baby,” Alex revealed. “Well, then we’re starting one tonight. Lily’s a little too young, but we’re not, so we’re going to watch the magic of one of the best Christmas movies of all time.”

I learned to be thankful and quiet. That acceptance made me hate Christmas. Love songs made my skin crawl. The lights under our tree looked like glass eyes. The ribbons on the presents were traps. Every year, the house tuned itself to cheer and I pretended to enjoy it. The twenty-fifth became the night when a new kind of cold touched my bones. It was the day the truth had crawled out at me like an animal. It was the day I had learned how much of my life had been decided by other hands.

Just like that, I told him everything that was happening, excluding my one-night stand story. As predicted, he was furious. Just like Emily, he has never liked Josh for me. The call ended, but not without me letting him know not to let anyone know what happened. I quickly had my bath and changed into something more comfortable. Today is Christmas, and I will have a fun-filled evening. It dawned on me that I did not see any Christmas trees hanging around anywhere. Nothing feels like the season around here. Everywhere is quiet. I might as well shop for a Christmas tree with my best friend and light up the house.

"Even knowing what it'll cost?" "Even then." She kissed him softly. "Now, when do we tell him?" Nelson pulled out his calendar. "Thomas Garrett's corruption expose happens Tuesday. That'll already be chaos. We can't add our relationship to that fire. After Christmas, maybe? After the holiday tension passes?" "That's three weeks of hiding. Three weeks of lying to my father's face at family dinners." "I know. But if we tell him now, during the holidays, it ruins Christmas for everyone. And with the Garrett situation exploding—" Nelson stopped. "The timing is terrible no matter when we do it."

I had no idea if this would be our last together as painful as it sounds. She was stable now but I was ready to ditch this retreat. But my mother had insisted. She begged. Said she knew she was going to die anyways although it won’t be now and there was no use throwing my career over something I won’t be able to change - her death. So I came. I tightened my grip on my suitcase and walked out of the airport. The streets were quiet — a little odd considering Christmas was just next week. It was different in America. The streets buzzed, everyone was jolly, lights hung everywhere, and at night you could hear choristers practicing carols.

And Noah, in front of everyone, let go of my hand to pass a gift box to Heidi. "Heidi, your Christmas present." Heidi excitedly tore it open. When she pulled out the worn pocket watch inside, she pouted. "Noah, you're so rich. Why are you giving me something this old?" Noah smiled without answering. But I froze completely. I'd seen that pocket watch before, in the portrait of Noah's late father.
