Movie Christmas Story Novels & Stories

" You see, Damon is my in-law, and so I can't have that kind of special relationship with him.” The air in the room shifted. My eyes were on grandma Rose, but I could feel Damon's gaze on me. "Wow,” she exclaimed. " Your in-law?” I nodded. "Caleb is married to my step sister.” " Oh! I see,” she said. " I'm sorry if I misjudged what I saw.” I laughed nervously. " It's okay.” Dinner continued awkwardly. Grandma Rose kept asking personal questions, and throwing in back stories about her life and youth. Damon barely said a word the whole time, and I couldn't pay grandma Rose much attention as I knew Damon was hurt.

Once they got home, she would make him an extra meal instead. Honestly, she had already been deliberately controlling his portions at dinner because she was afraid he would literally eat Hughie's group into poverty. The Christmas movie lasted about two hours, and by the time it ended, it was already late at night. Back home, Nicole showered, changed into soft temperature-regulating sleepwear, and crawled into bed beneath the blankets. Right as she was about to fall asleep, the walkie-talkie crackled. "Are you asleep yet?" "No. I was just about to."

Christian looked genuinely confused. “To decorate it!” “That makes no sense.” Marcus held up his hands. “I'm staying out of this.” I ambushed Diana during our morning tea session, spreading holiday decoration catalogs across her desk like battle plans. “Christmas,” I said. “We're doing it.” Diana's eyes lit up. “Oh my god, yes.” “Christian thinks I'm insane.” “Christian thinks most things are insane until you convince him otherwise.” Diana grabbed a catalog, flipping pages. “Outdoor lights?”

Marcus is waiting for me in the hallway, grinning from ear to ear. “Dude! You killed it!” he whispers loudly, slamming his hand onto my shoulder. “The monitors in the back were lighting up. The producers are already talking about making this a multi-part holiday special.” “It’s insane, Marcus,” I say, shaking my head as the reality sinks in. “A month ago I was planning to spend Turkey Day alone on my couch. Now I’m about to eat Chloe Vance off a dining room table.” “Go get ’em, champ. Don't leave any leftovers.”

Jillian reached down, locking fingers with Clara, and led her over to the hearth where the cedar logs popped and crackled in the dim, warm room. They sat together on the thick rug, sharing the spiced cider as the music from the hallway shifted into a familiar, peaceful holiday melody. The master ledgers of the city were closed, the Michaels family empire was ancient history, and the golden cage had been burned to ashes. Here in the coastal sanctuary, under the quiet weight of the winter snow, the tragic love story had officially found its final, enduring terms—written entirely in the warmth of a home that no longer needed walls.

On the seventh Christmas of our marriage, my husband, Alan Seaton, who worked in France, finally agreed to let me visit him. That was when I learned he wasn't renting some basement apartment at all. He had bought a spacious three-bedroom apartment. His mother, Maria Seaton, had the primary bedroom. He slept in the second, and the third had been turned into a pink princess room for his mother's goddaughter, Daisy. Even Daisy's dog had a climate-controlled kennel on the balcony. When he caught me staring at the kennel, Alan laughed and patted Daisy on the head. "You treat that dog better than your own mother. You insisted he couldn't suffer, so you even had radiant floor heating installed for

Spying Bram Stoker's Dracula on the table, which had been one of Jack's favorite movies, Cadence insisted, "No horror, please. The last thing I want to do is watch a bloody movie this close to Christmas." "Christmas Vacation!" Sydney insisted, raising her hands in the air. "Does that work for everyone?" Taylor asked. There were no objections, so she went to put the movie into the DVD player and flipped off the lights. "It's not a true story," Aaron said through the IAC to Cadence, who had turned hers back on in the car on the way over. "You've apparently never seen my dad hang Christmas lights," she replied sarcastically. Despite the poorly lit room, she could see he was doing his best to ho

“Like what? Having you fix my door knob or set up my Christmas tree?” “Oh, I don’t know. Picking my son up from school, going Christmas tree hunting with us, helping us decorate our tree. Shall I go on?” “All of that was fun,” she said shrugging. “So was fixing your door knob and setting up your Christmas tree,” he said raising his eyebrows and taking a sip of his steaming coffee. “Well, at any rate, thank you,” she said dismissively. “You’re welcome,” he replied, setting his mug down. “And by the way, I’m not sure if Michael mentioned this to you, but Santa Claus is going to be at the library tomorrow.”

“Me, too. From now on, I’m your Christmas Memory.” Dak grinned, his eyes dancing in the reflected gleam from the Christmas lights, and Memory lost herself in his kiss, certain they’d be together for all the Christmases yet to come.
