The Alpha of the black blood pack? I've heard rumours about him. I heard he is cruel, a vengeful ghost, a dreadful being. I heard he was the incarnate of the devil himself. "I can't marry the black blood Alpha. You can keep me in the dungeon, please Alpha" I cried. The Alpha walked down from his throne towards me. I thought he was going to hit me but, he squatted to my level and touched my chin. "Amelia, you are useless to me and this pack. No one will ever accept to be your mate, this is your one chance to be married. Don't flop it" he said.

My heart broke at the thought of little Sophie and Matilda. "Where's Matilda now?" I asked. "The older she-wolves are with her, Alpha's orders," Medea told me. "We're all worried she would harm herself from grief" My thoughts were still in disarray by the time we arrived at the mansion. The warriors were already training, but I couldn't find Alpha Gabriel. Only his beta was present, observing the training. "See you later, Serenity," Medea drew me into a side hug and I smiled at her and Alec. My head was filled with so many scary thoughts and I looked towards the forest. Was he out there? Watching? Waiting for a moment to pounce on his next prey?

I was stunned as I watched a white light begin to cover the wall like a large screen. And indeed, he was trying to create a screen. More precisely, the Alpha with the damaged face was showing me a display similar to a performance screen. On that magical screen, I witnessed dozens—no, hundreds of people dying in a war. Bloody spears pierced through their opponents' hearts, atomic bombs exploding, and the screams of pain from the warriors. Just by hearing how tortured those Alphas were, I knew they were at war. But who? Who was fighting in a peaceful and tranquil area like this?

I thanked the warriors and they left. I'd always wanted to be Alpha, of course, I was meant to be Alpha, but then these gifts were given to me by the spirits and now I'm trapped here with no one. Not even a mate, my brother is enjoying what rightfully belongs to me and I'm just isolated here communicating with spirits.

No one had ever seen Alpha Kael lose control like this before. Valtira's face crumpled in shock and hurt, she turned and fled upstairs, her footsteps echoing through the stunned silence. Alpha Kael stood frozen for a moment, his eyes blazing with anger, before realization dawned on him. He had made a grave mistake. With a growl, he turned and followed Valtira upstairs, leaving the others to wonder at the unprecedented display of emotion from their usually stoic Alpha.

"My mother tried to rewrite the rules. The witches said she was 'unmade' by it. Roman, if I have to do what she did, if I have to face whatever is coming..." Roman turned onto his side, propping himself up on one elbow so he could look down at her. The moonlight caught the sharp line of his jaw and the intensity in his eyes. "You aren't your mother. And your father was a man who watched from the shadows. I am an Alpha. I don't watch from the shadows, and I don't let my people disappear."

Though I think the main reason we get on so well is that their also wolves. My father is an Alpha to a relatively small pack while my besties are rogues. If we followed every other packs example I would have hated them the moment I saw them. Had my father been any other Alpha I probably would have, but unlike other pack leaders he taught me that every wolf is alike and should never be judged by their title. That includes rogues. My parents believe that some cut ties with their packs because they just simply prefer the quiet life, that they’re not all bad news. Although that being said these girls have certainly gotten me into trouble more often than not.

For the first time Alpha Alexander spared someone’s life just like that but the doubt disappears when we all see the sinister smile on his lips. “He’s a present for Lucas. Matthew will be surprised by our creativity.” Alpha Alexander states while watching the unconscious rogue. "Mind Link Lucas, we are done with the fight and heading back." Alpha Alexander orders to which I nod while staring at the leader of rogues. We all were some of the few warriors who knew how ruthless both Alpha and Beta can be. It was going to be an endless torture for Matthew.
