Movies That Are Also Books Novels & Stories

During these nineteen years of my life, I have never come across a novel or movie where they show the reality. It's such a great irony that whatever they show never happens in real life. Or perhaps they do, oblivious to the many people all across the world to whom it's just a piece of fiction. We will never ever know. We have these wild imaginations like the avatar, hunger games, twilight saga, fast and furious, and others. I am not ashamed to say that some of the above-mentioned movies are indeed my favorite.

“No not really. I just don’t consider star related movies as real movies.” “Well I don’t consider people who haven’t seen Star Wars as actual human beings so…” “What” he complained. “I am sorry but there are some movies I think that people need to see to be actual human beings in the movie areas. Or else don’t see any other movies.” I clicked my tongue. “Ok, what other movies do you think people should see?” he asked. “I am glad you asked.” I turned toward him “Game of thrones, Star Wars and any lord of the ring related movies.”

A woman brings in the two plates of tiramisu then removes our dinner plates. We spend dessert talking about favorite movies. Milos hasn’t watched many of the newer ones—his mother was a lover of classic movies she watched to learn English. He shrugged, he preferred to read with what little free time he had. I still felt like everything was too much like an RPG for it not to be a game, but I still hadn’t found any proof. I don’t want to spend my time watching a trashy series. Then there was the book to movie adaptations. I would’ve wanted to watch them but not until I read those books. There’s an exciting feeling when you know that the book you just read was already adapted into a movie. And I don’t particularly appreciate reading books after I watch movies. I already got the story and I’m only hating it if the stories are different from one another. After minutes of deliberation, I finally picked a murder mystery movie about a group of teenagers killed one by one in their outing. The premise was absurd.

Picking up the remote, I began to navigate through the various movie options available. In the midst of scrolling, I turned to her, curiosity pricking at my mind "What’s your favorite movie?" I asked, genuinely interested to know more about her preferences. "I have a couple of favorites" she began, a thoughtful expression crossing her face "It might sound a bit unexpected, but I really love 'Rain Man' and 'I am Sam'" Her revelation did take me by surprise. Both were emotionally intense films, dealing with complex themes such as mental health and the challenges of parenthood. They were poignant stories that left a lasting impact on their viewers.

The stories are different from the same junk you normally hear, but they’re still a bit flowery for me. Maya had wa‍tched the do‍cumentary ab‌out corporate co‌rruptio‌n that ha‌d made Adrian que‍s⁠tion ever‍y‌thing his father built.

End of flashback "Its a really good one. One of my absolute best even" I said summing up every other thing I would have said.

He narrowed his eyes at me, wondering. "You sound like you read a lot." "Of course. Isn't it obvious?" "Who the fuck are you?" I burst into laughter. "You don't look like a book lover. And to think you know when a movie was adapted from a book. That's quite oppressive." "I will do my best."
