I looked up—and my mouth dropped open. He was wearing a full-on green frog costume, with a crooked gold crown glued between the bulging eyes on his oversized frog head. "What are you wearing?" I snorted, blinking at him in disbelief. He croaked like a frog and hopped toward me, then he began singing, and dancing off key, while kicking his legs like some backup dancer who never got any trainings. "Sha la la la la… don’t be scared! My skin felt chalky, my head hurt for the tightness of the bun and the ridiculous clothes were itchy. Still, I felt like I was on top of the world.
