The Luna Lives Again
I muttered between gritted teeth, trying to prepare myself for the next one.
"Don't worry, Bonnie, I promise you're very close," Dr. Michaels said with a soft, encouraging smile. "I can see the top of his head! He has a full head of black hair!"
Robbie gasped. "You hear that? He has black hair! You would've been worried if he was a brunette," he teased.
A breathy laugh pushed past my lips despite everything. Even in moments like this, when I felt like my body was being torn in two, Robbie still knew how to make me laugh. That was one of the things I loved most about him. He never faltered in lifting me up.
