They emerged back into the forest and vanished completely, as if they had become one with their surroundings.
I had never seen anything so strange, so beautiful. I knew without asking that it was magic at play. From the strange churning in my gut, I knew it was great, old magic that had transformed these creatures into something new. It reminded me of what the shop keeper had said, that magic was not good nor evil. It was simply a force of nature, forever changing and growing.
