" April 3rd. James froze, his breath catching in his throat. That was Helena's birthday. The day he'd spent celebrating with her, arms wrapped around her waist, utterly oblivious. But he remembered now—he had gone home briefly that day. He had seen them, mother and daughter, alive. And then, the phone call... The Alpha King's voice broke through his spiraling thoughts. "There are signs of forced entry in your home. I suspect this was—" Before he could finish, James crumpled under the weight of his guilt, sobbing uncontrollably. He clung to our cold, unmoving bodies, his cries echoing through the room. "I'm sorry... It's my fault. I killed you both. I'm so sorry..."

As she was desperate to fill herself up. He barked and roared followed by everyone. The word was spread in the pack that she and his dad planned everything to poison the Alpha, which was luckily taken by Luna to save the Alpha. It added to the love, respect and loyalty towards their Luna. Everyone was anticipating what he had planned. Swift walked to stand at her back. He looked at the throne for one more time as in asking for permission. Alpha Michael, Luna Jane and Alpha Blaze. They all subtly nodded their heads. And in a blink her head was chopped off, tossed in the fire. Followed by her father, who witnessed it with eyes wide open.

Jessica hesitated only a second before pulling Aurora toward a crumbled wall. The hum of the drones deepened as their weapons charged, red light flickering. "SUBJECT NON-COMPLIANT", one droned. "FORCE ENGAGEMENT AUTHORIZED". The first blast tore through the concrete beside Romeo. Dust exploded into the air. Jessica screamed. But Romeo was already moving faster tha the machines could track. He spun low, grabbed a broken metal rod, and hurled it with perfect precision. It impaled one drone straight through it's scanner, sending it spiraling in flames.

Owen tells them. “Liv kept repeating the phrase 'The master of the damned is but a puppet to the doom..' She pondered it for a long while before she turned to me with wide eyes to ask me 'Could he or she be talking about a killer?' Then she held up a hand, like I was going to interrupt her. She said 'Just think about it for a moment.. most serial killers kill because they like it. Right? They get this sick, twisted little thrill from it. Like your brother. So if a 'master of the damned is but a puppet to the doom' could he be saying that a killer is merely a slave to his own sadistic whims? That a man kills because he is drawn to and he can't help himself?' She looked so cute, being so serio

And every second made me angrier. Because somebody had done this. Somebody had reduced Ronan to this. Somebody had made him vulnerable. Made him helpless. Made him easy to kill. The realization hit me all over again. Slowly. Violently. I pulled the blanket higher over Ronan's chest and took a step back from the bed. For a second, I just stared at him. His eyes were open. But they weren't focused. They drifted aimlessly around the room, struggling to settle on anything for longer than a heartbeat. When they finally landed on me, there was recognition there, faint and distant, buried beneath whatever drugs were swimming through his system.

From the far end of the next corridor, three small shapes darted into view. Drones. It's not the sleek, commercial kind. These were jury‑rigged—maintenance bots retrofitted with sensor arrays and taser rigs, the ugly child of a Roomba, and a riot control catalog. “Non‑lethal, my ass,” Dante repeated. They came at knee‑height, fast. Jax dropped, fired. The first drone sparked, skidding sideways. The second juked. Too smart. Niko swore, fingers flying on his pad.

“Because I’m bringing our baby home. And I need you to hold him when I do.” In a police command van stationed just outside the forest, officers prepped their gear. Drones were in the air. Heat signatures mapped out. James stood beside Ava, who wore a bulletproof vest under a simple black sweater. Her hair was tied tightly behind her head, her eyes like steel. “This is your last chance to stay back,” James said quietly. “No,” she replied. “If I have to crawl through that dirt on my stomach, I will.” Just then, one of the drone operators turned.

Dave said. James' face darkened as he looked at Dave. "He deserved to die even if she is not dead because he tried to kill her; if she had not been smart enough to replace herself with an AI clone, she would have died, so I don’t regret killing him," James said with a cold voice that made Dave shiver. He was afraid of his boss more than anything else because he knew what he was capable of. James headed out of the house. "Are you going to see her?"

Just as she turned it on a voice of a lady was heard who was anchoring the news. “The police confirmed the three murders to be a serial murder but they suspect that the murder was done by someone who held a deep grudge against the three deceased. It is also suspected that the murderer is a doctor because of his unique way of killing the victims. So, the police gave the murderer the code name Dr. Killer. Who is this Dr. Killer and why is he killing these innocent people? And where our world is standing now? The very lesson that should be saving lives is now taking them instead. The general people are panicking over-” she turned off the tv because of the boring news. The only thing interesting

David shouted as a rope ladder descended from the aircraft. A figure rappelled down with practiced precision, landing in their boat with such impact it nearly swamped them. James stood before them, water streaming from his tactical gear, weapon raised. "This ends now," he announced over the roar of the helicopter and storm. "Project Lazarus dies tonight." Alex positioned himself protectively in front of Sonia. "James, whatever they did to your mind—" "My mind is clearer than it's been in decades," James interrupted.
