“Evan, get up and call the human police department. I’m sending you coordinate right now. There’s some people here about to commit a murder. We’re going to stop it. Yeah, get a hold of someone that can keep their mouth shut about what’s happening here. Hurry, the person is alive right now, but I’m not sure how much longer.” Several of his wolves filtered through the bushes and down the paths. James just looked at them before saying. “Stay in wolf form for as long as you can. We want this to look like a hermit and his trained wolves. I suspect there’s about to be a murder happening. That means there’s at least one gun involved. Be careful.”

“Damon, enough! Get it together. He’s barely conscious.” I glance back, and he’s right. James’s head is slumped forward, his breath shallow, and his body is slumped like a rag doll. He’s slipping. I walk back toward him. "You got someone killed, James. Over something that never should’ve gone this far." He shakes his head, barely meeting my eyes. I grab his chin and force him to look at me. "The bastard you hired to take her. He’s dead. But, I'm sure you know that already."

"I'm sorry, I really am. I shouldn't have hung you in the air. I shouldn't have framed you as a cheater. I don't ask for your forgiveness, but please, spare my father's company. It's his life's work." I felt like laughing. Even now, he could not care less about how much pain I'd suffered. Even now, all he cared about was his family's company. Confusion flashed across her eyes, as if she were beginning to realize the situation wasn't as simple as she thought. Dad let out a cold snort, fixed him with a piercing stare, and mockingly said, "I see… I have a second son named Adam. Today's full of surprises." At that moment, Erica finally realized the gravity of the situation. The smugness and contempt that had colored her face vanished instantly, replaced by a flash of panic.

I look down to see him tieing a silver chain around my wrist and I struggle, to have his grip tighten on me. As he whispers lowly. Drake makes a thunderous howl as he sees the leader of the Hunters hurt Emily again and again with a metal chain. 'Drake. . . let them hurt me,' Emily entered his mind again. 'Let them torture me. . . just run away from the forest, save yourself,' Emily added weakly. 'No! Stop commanding me, Emily! That's not the only thing you get from me once I bring you back to the mansion!' he sounded mad, with no emotions at all. Drake killed the hunter mercilessly. He didn't let them escape from his raging eyes. He keeps on beheading those hunters who tried to get his way.
