Some are already messing around and punching each other, yet others had their eyes on me. When I look around for Damien, I am surprised to see him talking to Ivan. What could they be talking about, were they coming up with a game plan? Alpha Ketill rises from his seat and begins to bellow “As you know, challenge one was a failed attempt but this time I am here to keep an eye on my grandchild. This challenge is a fight. You will all be rewarded points for how long you last and how strong you are. There is to be no killing and you must remain in human form. If anyone shifts, you will be disqualified”

They prepared to leave the fortress, the runes flared brightly, projecting a new message into the sky above them: "The Final Trial Awaits. Only Unity Will Prevail." And then, without warning, the ground split open beneath their feet, swallowing them whole.

They had to do this one in their human form. The circle was redrawn with white ash and sacred sigils. The fighters entered—three challengers chosen by rank. First, Alpha Balder—An Alpha with brute strength and speed. Second was Alpha Silas again—Torin’s rival, another threat to his bond with Freya. Third was a Beta turned challenger named Drahl, known for his agility. Freya smiled at Torin, expecting that to serve as some kind of strength, but he didn’t smile back. He simply looked away, his attention now solely on the next task.

“Impressive… but not enough. You still have one test left.” I looked at Caelum, wide-eyed. “One more?” He nodded grimly. “One more. And this time… we can’t fail.” The hybrid creature roared, regaining partial movement, sensors still glowing. The labyrinth pulsed violently, as if acknowledging the challenge, as if anticipating our final confrontation. My hands trembled, adrenaline still coursing. Every part of me screamed exhaustion, but I forced myself to focus. Survival wasn’t enough anymore we had to defeat the labyrinth, the creature, and the mastermind controlling it all.

"None of you are allowed to plead for her! Until she apologizes, she stays inside!" Helen sighed in relief, stepping aside without a word. Meanwhile, I stood there, stunned. So, this was what he thought of me. My heart ached, but it did not matter anymore. I was already dead—both in body and in spirit. Ean finally acknowledged me and led the group to the abandoned freezer. When we arrived at the door, the guards were visibly trembling. "Mr. Smith, Madeline hasn't given in yet," one guard stammered,

Rex said quietly to himself, gods that thing was huge. “Sweetness, let us steer clear of that one for now, yes? Maybe come back for it, imagine the disorder it would cause with the trolls not being able to be reined in,” Sküülen said, her eyes ablaze. “You want to kill THAT on the way back??” Rex gasped, a little shocked at her eagerness, “You might not die, but I certainly can.” “Our current objective is much more difficult than that beast, I have seen a terror much more than what is here attached to your future, you will not die today, you will come within a hair’s breadth though,” she smiled, her white sharp teeth showing.

he started He then kept quiet, letting his words sink into my head. I needed that, I needed to know that Hades hadn't just left in the morning when he knew I would be needing him. I was happy to hear that this was how things were. "The underground battling arena is the place that Hades has chosen for this challenge, and that is where we are headed. A council member has been chosen to oversee it, and you would have to follow the rules" he continued. "Of course," replied. Everyone had to follow the rules.

With each step, his resolve grew stronger, fueled by love and the unwavering belief that Aria's life was worth every sacrifice. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a crimson glow upon the forest, he reached the heart of the labyrinth. The final battle awaited him, a showdown with the guardian of the artifact. With bravery and skill, he overcame the obstacles and secured the precious artifact. The path back to the wicked witch's lair stretched before him, fraught with uncertainty and danger. And so, with the elixir of immortality within his grasp, he braced himself for the final encounter, aware that the witch would not easily relinquish her hold on such potent magic.
