For some reason, I couldn't find my voice. I read about love in romance books. They were actually my favorite books to read —which made it pretty ironic that I couldn't bear to hear the topic whenever it was brought up. Why was I comfortable reading about it in books but not when it was mentioned? Probably because reading it was one thing and experiencing it in real life was another. When I read about the feelings associated with love, it intrigued me. That a single four-lettered word could make someone experience a myriad of emotions both good and bad was an utter mystery.

What differentiates us is that I was not born or turned, I'm good with sunlight and I could stay long without thirst for blood. I love getting involved with human businesses because they at least changed my boring life. A human even led me to meet the most exciting thing ever in my life, and that thing is.... Romance novels. I accidentally got it from a boy one day and now am obsessed with them. I enjoy reading them, especially the ones authorized by Jenny Alfred. I always wish to get the kinds of love she portrays in her novels. I fell in love with her books and now I really want to meet her.

“The prologue sounds interesting,” I thought to myself before turning the page over. I was sitting on the edge of my window with my nose deep into a romantic book. I like reading but, mind you, only novels and comics. My interest nowadays inclines towards erotica. Goodness, the details they provide. Lord have mercy, I wonder if the men in real life are as passionate as in fiction. I learned a lot of things from those books but never got to put them in practice.
