Mockery was laced in Dante's tone and I turned just in time to see the muscle in his jaw tighten. “That’s cute.” He muttered. Another one from her came in almost immediately. “She must really miss you. Didn't you tell her it's wrong to take personal calls at work?” He commented, while I folded my fists at my sides. “Shut up.” I retorted almost immediately. “Watch your words. I'm your boss now.” I bit down on my lips as I put my phone back into my pocket. My jaw clenched and my hands stayed coiled in a fist.

Nothing had happened to her. “Let’s wait a bit more.” I muttered quietly to myself as I looked around the area. I saw my boss marching towards the store in anger, with my co-worker walking behind her.—- literally vibrating with it. “ You wretched child! What are you doing here?” She shouted as she reached where I stood. All my questions died in my throat and I looked at her, confusion swirling through my mind. My boss has never spoken to me like this before. What happened? Something must be wrong somewhere.

The more he said no the more my heart wanted him. "What! Look, young lady. You can fool around but not me!" He specified. "I'm not fooling around! I seriously worked here!" I responded gritting my teeth. "Then I'll remove this place on my list and you are not paid to talk to strangers not related to your work. Now, get back to your work!" He bluntly uttered. "But you are not a stranger!" I fired back totally pissing him off. "And I am your fucking boss! Shut up and get back to your work." He glared and slap his harsh words to my face. Everyone in the room followed us outside watching us dumbfounded. I want to chase him again but my sister stops me.

The poor assistant was about to turn away when Steve suddenly snapped, unable to hold in his anger anymore. "Who the hell does your boss think he is?"

You just showed up here from nowhere and called yourself boss. You’re nothing but an arrogant bully in a coat!”

What the heck are you talking about?” “I am your boss,” he hissed, “mind the way you talk to me” That ignited something inside of me. He just called himself my boss—and he didn’t look like he was kidding about it.

I already have to work twice as hard to prove to my coworkers that I got the job based on my skills, and having him step in is just going to make things worse. “No, I’m doing okay, and I don’t need you speaking to my boss,” I replied curtly, and I saw how his hands tightened around the steering wheel, and I felt bad for snapping at him like that. It wasn’t his fault that I hung on to the hope that one day, he would look at me like I mattered.

"You heard me" , I shot back, crossing my arms " Next time try tipping the barista instead of ogling her ". The man's face turned red, his smile replaced with a sneer. The sharp bark of my boss's voice yanked me out of my anger, I turned to see Carlo stomping towards me, his beefy hands balled into fists, his face already blotchy with rage.
