I hugged my left chest and sat on the ground. I remained motionless for a while, stood up, and went to my room to feed Sweet. Looking at the chubby white cat enjoying the meal, I couldn't help but smile. But then, feeling like there was a weight in my heart, I stroked Sweet's head, whispering to it. "Is it right for me to do this?" No matter how brilliant Sweet is, it can't understand the human mind; it just raises its eyes, cries out for a few hours, and then continues eating. After eating, it crawled into my lap and licked its fur.

Aurora's POV "No! I don't think she likes me" Catherine gave up when the cat hissed at her. We came to the clinic after work, the Vet said we can take her home but only if she let us touch her because without that it would be impossible to take care of her. I released a sigh. I hope she lets me touch her. I tried again just like this morning and she didn't try to attack me. I gently picked her up and pet her.

I was too busy typing back an email to my business associates that i didn't notice she came back and closed my laptop. " Alexandria, I'm busy typing a message. " I complained, but she didn't listen to me, she sat next to me and took the laptop away. I tried to reach it, but she stood up from the bed and held it higher like she could. I looked at Vincent and said. "I would like to say thank you for taking good care of my cat even if you don't like him. I really needed to leave him here cause my brother really doesn't want a cat due to his allergies." I turned my back and walked through the door leaving Vincent. "So the cat is yours?" Vincent asks as I was about to step through the door of his apartment. I looked at him and said, "Yes, why?" "Nothing... I'm just thinking."

He stays for half a second and jumps down, pouncing on the pile of discarded wrapping paper. Midnight, the mother cat to all the kittens, curiously walks over, batting a plastic bow across the living room. We were only going to take the kitten, but the mama cat really likes me for some reason. She’s a bit annoying, really, and rubs her head all over me purring almost every night when I go to sleep. Scarlet laughs, watching the cats have almost as much fun as Jackson with the presents. I take her in my arms again, stealing a kiss before Jackson moves onto the next present.

"Who says they can't protect me? Bubba isn't lame. Missy isn't blind. They're good cats. Touch them and we're done." She looked at me like I'd lost it. She slammed the carrier down. "They're not blind. I am. For dating you." Her voice went ice-cold. "We're done. When the world ends, don't come crawling." The door slammed. I let the cats out fast and finally breathed. Not the first time I'd been called names. Since graduation, people liked to call me "saint." All because I'm a legit cat dad. After college, I rented this place and picked up two strays on a rainy night. One male. One female.

It was like a dream coming true, but before we could reach it, it went away from us. "Yes," I said detaching myself from her, and I was still staring at her, she was clinging to me closely, but I couldn't do anything to leave her. "You won't leave me, right," she questioned me and a bitter smile spread on my lips. "I will never leave my kitten neither at the moment nor for life, have your medication and rest," I uttered softly while patting her curly hairs which were more messier now.

Emily held the kitten tightly, cherishing the time spent together. Unexpectedly, the little cat refused to leave when Winston took Emily home!
