[JAZ AMANDA] All my classes are over, so I'm just waiting for my driver. Later, my Nanny, Cynthia, called me and said that our driver had an emergency and no one was available to pick me up, so I should just take a taxi. My eyes twinkled, and a smile appeared on my lips. This is an excellent opportunity for me to be alone. It's been a while since Dad grounded me, so my life is boring. I thought of going for a walk. While walking, I saw a group of men who seemed to have something terrible going on.

“Yeah. About that. Do you remember last week when I told you about that dream I had?” My heart fluttered again... the pack link must be starting to shift. I could feel my link to the pack start to pulse. Now that is different... wait, what was the question? “Oh, last week.” My voice was wavering, what is going on? “You mean that dream where you were an Alpha?” I laughed. “Yeah. I remember.” I gasped again.... is someone watching me? “Yeah. I think... that was a premonition.” He sighed. “That I am really destined to be an Alpha. Not a Beta.”

"My destiny?" "Yes. The life you've been living up until this moment isn't your true destiny. Aries was never your ordained wolf. You were ever meant to be Alpha of Silver Clawers, you were bound to lose your father's love, your mother, everything. Because those experiences were merely a pathway to your true destiny. Me." He explained but he only confused me further. "You're among the destined one, Aaron Harrington. The moon goddess chose you right from birth." "I-i don't understand any of this..."

My patience was wearing thin. "It’s Rayhan, Rayhan Rossi, future Alpha of the Black Storm Pack." "I didn’t ask." I didn’t like this; he was getting too close. Rossi? As in related to the Lycan King Rossi? That alone spelt trouble… Why was he even bothering to talk to me? "Please leave." "Delsanra, Do you know what mates are?" He looked hesitant. "Yes. It’s the blood moon. You should go find yours." I replied, glaring at him.

Lycaon and his followers were strong, and Zeus was nearly overpowered. At the last-minute Hecate appeared and told Zeus of the one flaw of Lycaon’s new form. And so, Zeus forged a lightning bolt of pure silver and plunged it through his heart. Lycaon, however, did not die but was paralyzed by the silver piercing his body. The power that he had acquired had kept him from instant death. Hecate used her powers to bind his body within an ancient scroll and to be kept forever in a secret place no one would ever find.

"Your desire. It's like you're inside my head." "And I can feel yours." He smiled softly. "Your fear. Your hope. Your love." He pressed his forehead to mine. "That's not something that happens by accident, Lyra. That's the moon's choice. That's destiny." "Destiny." The word felt heavy, impossible. "I don't believe in destiny. Destiny is what people use to justify terrible things." "Then call it something else. Call it fate. Call it chance. Call it the universe deciding that two broken people are better together than apart." He kissed me gently. "All I know is that I'm grateful for it. Whatever it is."

"Please don't say back." His lynx surveyed their surroundings before darting off to the right, a sense of determination driving its movements. "We find shelter," it declared, its tone resolute. "Then, come morning, you hike." John nodded, relief flooding through him at the lynx's assurance. With renewed determination, he followed his animal instincts, trusting in their guidance to lead him to safety. As they set off, John focused on the task at hand, pushing aside his fears and focusing on the hope of finding shelter before someone found him.

"That's not my destiny. My destiny is to give a home to wandering lycans. I know what the moon goddess has set for me, and that is to get to you." "Me?" "Yes. You, Ryanna. There is a reason why you were still alive when everyone from the Pelagus bloodline was wiped out. When other female lycans were killed in the wilderness by the rogue wolves, you survived." "I might be lucky..." "No, no, no. Don't say that, Ryanna," he turned his eyes away from me and shook his head before gazing back at my eyes. "I know luck when I see one, and I also know when things are divinely orchestrated."

Now, I believe he is too dense not to get that. “ It—This is her…destiny… ” He groans, his arms lax beside him. He is trying to make peace by not fighting back, but it’s all the same for me. I don’t show mercy to someone even if they wave the white flag. It’s not in my ruthless blood to take pity on others. “ Destiny? ” My fingers flex around his throat, letting him take in a choking breath. “ If destiny was something that truly existed, then mine was to die young. But I am still alive. And I am sure I ruined every stupid plan the Gods made. ”

I hid my face in Daniel’s chest as the traitor laughed at my expense along with the intruders. We went through a lot in the past. Sometimes together. Sometimes alone but we still faced it head on and conquered every problem. The result of the struggle, our beautiful family. Our wonderful pups. The loving friends we have that are more like family and our delightful packs. I can say the struggle and pain was worth it if the end result is this beautiful. There is no way to change the past or to predict the future. But we can surely make an effort in the present and work towards a better future. Destiny is not something that is bound to happen. It is something we work hard for, to make it happen
