My Drill Will Pierce The Heavens Novels & Stories

Khloe assured Maria as her grip became tighter. "Your deepest desires will be your downfall!" Khloe uttered and yelled at the top of her voice. "We open the gates of hell, to return what has been unleashed!" I felt my power being drained. Suddenly, I heard the loudest roar of the thunders. The clear sky gave way to thick dark set of clouds and it was then I saw, from afar, the desert was collapsing into a deep fall of hell fire.

I shout as I begin to ride towards the seven as fast as I can. The battle only intensifies and rages around me as the shield protects me from the enemy's attack. It seems as if hope is lost and I almost vomit when I see Michael's blade rip through the flesh of a young demon. “NO!” I shout loudly and begin to feel myself levitate. “Balance must be maintained.” The seven say in unison. ‘Show them child.” I hear a soft voice and I look towards the heavens with a nod. “STOP!” I shout in a voice so fierce that every soldier on the field looks towards me.

It looked ferocious and exuded a powerful pressure. “Squeak, squeak…” The rat apparition screeched and shot out a bolt of lightning aimed straight at Andrius. “Unrivaled Under the Heavens!” Andrius swung his spear, the tip of it meeting the lighting. Although he shattered the lightning bolt, his arm tingled numbly. He knew he could not drag out the fight, so he immediately activated his heavenly fire ring, pushing his immortal essence to its limit. “Tyrant’s Ascendance!”

Smoke coiled in black spirals, choking out the stars, and in the glow of that apocalyptic dawn, the world trembled. Buildings burned like paper. Trees split open, screaming with sap and flame. It was as if the sky itself had turned traitor—spilling fury upon a land already drowning in sorrow.

“Behind you.” Mae spun and shattered a second drone with violet force. The blast ripped through its core, then jumped to every machine connected to the same signal. Hundreds of drones fell from the sky like dead birds, smashing across streets and rooftops. The paralysis tower flickered. Every frozen body in the city inhaled at once.

The hum changes pitch — higher, sharper. Nora swears. “They found us!” The tunnel shakes as drones breach the upper vents. Red beams slice through the shadows. Everyone scrambles. Adrian grabs my hand, pulling me behind a column. “Nora, get the drives out!” he shouts. “I’m on it!” Sparks shower from the ceiling. A drone crashes nearby, smoke filling the chamber. I cough, eyes stinging. Adrian shields me with his body, returning fire with a pulse weapon. Somewhere above, an amplified voice echoes through the tunnel:

Far above, the black needle kept coming—slow, but heavy, and terrifying. “Drones!” Bianca pointed toward the canyon. Thousands of drones that had been on their tail suddenly changed course. They shot up into the sky, like bugs drawn to a lamp. One by one, they hit a certain height, dissolved into gray dust, and drifted into the purple clouds. “They’re taking it all back,” David breathed, peering through cracked glasses. “Everything that came from the Source—they’re pulling it home.” Then, a beam of white light shot down from the black needle. It didn’t hit the mountain. It hit the city, way off in the distance.

Everyone set down their glasses and cutlery and turned their chairs toward the screen. Dad tapped a few buttons on his tablet, and the image flickered before sharpening into focus. "Highlights From the Past 72 Hours." The title was bold and red. On screen, I was on my knees, tongue pressed against the joint of a water pipe, lapping up the droplets that seeped through. The water tasted of rust and rot. But I drank greedily, desperately. I just wanted to stay alive.

”…has found yours. Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. Then far above the fracture something knocked. Once. A deep, hollow sound. Knock. The stars flickered. Everyone froze. Knock. The fracture trembled. Even Aurelion’s expression changed. Then came a third knock. Knock. And a crack suddenly appeared Not in the fracture. In the sky itself. Noxaris’s voice became a whisper. Ancient. Filled with dread. “It’s early.” Another crack spread across the heavens. Then another. And another. The sky was breaking. And something on the other side was trying to get in.
