It felt like I had been watching the dance floor for hours, but glancing down at my watch, it had only been minutes. I kept gazing down, trying to spot Aurora Macafee, but all the she-wolves blended together. I couldn't deny the disappointment I felt when I didn't see her in the crowd. She must not have taken me seriously and decided to avoid the ball altogether. Or she just didn't care what I said, even though the Alpha's word was law. I think that's what caused me to feel the most intrigued about her, though; her rebellious side was intoxicating.

I wouldn't still go even if I was to be sure somehow that she wouldn't be sleeping in the house tonight. My head was full, and my eyes hung heavily.
