Once she got to her room, she slammed the door shut behind her and pressed her back to it, breathing like she just ran a marathon. Inside his suite, Nathan ran a hand through his hair and groaned into his palm. In two separate rooms, miles apart in body but not in thought, both whispered the same thing in different tones: “My heart.”
