He sounded rather desperate yet furious. Avery couldn't hold it anymore. She was the one supposed to be angry and there he was, acting all angry. Avery put her purse on the table and uttered in a calm tone, "Whatever we talked about, what's that got to do with you? You are not my real husband, I am not obliged to answer you always." "What?" Avery took a deep breath, she actually thought she would keep quiet but he pushed her. "You said I will soon get my share in the company and the property share back so guess, it will be over soon."

“Brother.” The word felt like a slap to my face. And a harsher realization dawned on me. My supposed mate… is my husband’s brother?
