The woman immediately dropped her guard and curiously gave me a once-over. She smiled sweetly and introduced herself as Trixie Ashford. She was Dylan's girlfriend, and she had returned to the country specifically to celebrate Christmas with him.

Arthur and I join the others in the living room, where a beautiful Christmas tree stands, twinkling with lights and ornaments. “That sounds like a wonderful idea.” His lips met hers, and Pooch yipped in glee as all three of them got their Christmas wish--to be together for Christmas.
