On the screen, the old video from the airport was playing. "I didn't see this until today. You liked me back then," he said hoarsely. I calmly put on a coat and replied, "That's all in the past." "I can't get over it!" I looked at Julian as he scrambled up from the floor. He wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand. His eyes were burning with desperate agony. "Serina, I can't get over it. You never told me you loved me. W-We weren't supposed to end up like this."

When they heard that the woman he loved had returned, they devised a terrible plan. They spiked Connor’s drink and then called Anne. That night, Anne had been forced to help Connor through the effects of the drug. Exhausted and broken, she left the next morning to catch her flight. Anne had abandoned all her dignity, thinking that if Connor still cared, he would come after her. He did, but she never knew. Connor suddenly lost all strength, collapsing onto the ground with a pale face. He could not even bring himself to look at her. "So your first time... was with me?"
