“I’ve... met someone.” Her eyes widen again, and she practically beams at me. “What? Osiris, that’s amazing! Tell me everything!” I can’t help but chuckle at her enthusiasm. “Her name’s Eva. She’s... she’s different, Lia. I’ve never met anyone like her. She’s strong, independent, a mother—” “Wait, a mother?” Camellia cuts in, her eyebrows shooting up. “Wow. Okay, keep going!” I nod, a smile tugging at my lips as I think about Eva. “Yeah, she’s got a little girl, Sophia. Smart kid. They’re... They’re good for me, I think. Eva doesn’t know about my world, though. At least, not yet.”

I imagine the goddess left pieces of the ocean in her veins. “Hello,” she says. Her voice is soft. Hesitant. “I didn’t expect visitors.” I smile. “I’m Paris. Alpha of the Sea Salt Pack. These is my son —Kostas and my sister in law-Kristina.” Kristina offers a graceful wave. Kostas gives her a dramatic bow that nearly knocks over a flowerpot. Eva just blinks at us. “Eva. My name is Eva. My wolf is Artemis.” Then, after a breath, she adds, “ please, come in.”

“Wh- who are you?” She paused in her actions of fluffing a pillow, turning to me. “Who am I?” I slowly nodded, wondering if I'd asked wrongly and she was going to kill me. Then I went rigid as she smiled- not evilly, but it was still unsettling. “I thought you made the guess as soon as you saw me. There was a flicker of recognition in your eyes. Still…” she sighed. “Eva M- for better identification, Eva Blackburn. Not legally though,” she added with a smile.

I had just minimal make up on my face, allowing me to appear as natural as possible. Hotel Eva was founded by mother Eve, naming it after the two of us. The name Eva was as a result of merging our names together of us. I walked behind the low reception desk, greeting the receptionist with a smile. I helped my Mum with the hotel finances, now that I was on my second year of my accounting degree. Asking for every single file that I needed, I proceeded to my temporary office. However what I didn't except when I entered the office was to find my handsome men seated comfortable waiting for me.

I forwarded it to Eva with a message. "The world knows you have claimed me now. So I am never letting you go 🥰. -D"

Tiana replied teasingly. I pulled the corner of my lip, almost into a smile. There was something inexplicable when I heard that name. I am Evangeline Rutherford. Or more often they call me Eva. A figure whose existence they often forget, until she finally becomes the center of attention because of one name that will be present tonight. “Can I cheat just one day, Tiana?” Giselle whispered, poking her assistant's arm. ‘I want chocolate. Or a cold soda? Just a little.”

I slap some sense back into myself, but still, even so, I don’t like being addressed by another woman’s name, so I correct the driver. “My name is Evaki, but you can call me Eva.” My voice comes out low, not knowing why I'm bothering to tell him what to call me. I'm probably never going to see him again. I unconsciously hug myself at the sudden cold feeling of being a fool, and he quickly apologizes. He tries to explain himself, but I cut him off, not wanting the situation to get any more awkward. There’s no need. . .

Eva was the first to step in. "Hello." Eva pushed open the meeting room door, carrying tea and snacks. She looked at the middle-aged woman with some surprise since all the visitors in the morning were young men. "I'm looking for Eranthe. Where is she?" Eva kept her composure. "I'm sorry, but Eranthe is a bit busy today. Let me take care of you." The middle-aged woman casually placed her platinum bag on the coffee table. "Go and get Eranthe for me."

She gritted her teeth, raising her voice a bit which made Evana take a long jump backwards getting afraid of her loud voice. " M...My name". She stammered. " Hmmm, can you see anyone over here other than you to whose ears my question can travel ?". Evana looked confused by the question. " I'm asking for your name only dammit". Evana opened her mouth to answer her but the words halted in her tongue once all the images happened in her life since morning flashed in her mind. She herself is confused about her identity after getting dumped into a completely different world where she doesn't belong.

Taking her to the stage, he handed her over the mike and held her waist for support. "Good.. evening... everyone" Her sweet voice making everyone to go silent. Eager to listen to her. "I am Eva" "Just Eva. No Miller, no Williams, no Knight. Just a being who wants to talk to other god's beings with no titles attached." "I have committed a crime...I have harmed innocents, I won't deny that. And I willingly accept your punishment for it. But sadly I didn't have a choice, hurting people or let alone any being was never a choice but a compulsion.
