One man threw a canister in as all the men were wearing masks and smoke came out, but my shield didn’t let the smoke come through. Rayna grabbed my arm as I had to keep the shield up and took Bryden’s hand and teleported us out of there and to Valaisha.

On a closer look, one could see the shield had the shape of a turtle shell: it was a huge golden turtle shell. The incoming person was Gilbert Henderson. The tactician, Eleanor, did not come along because her cultivation was not as great as the two principals. Facing the mighty demon tribe army, she would only be as delicate as a fresh flower. She would only be a burden to the two principals even if she came over. After that, Gilbert held up the golden turtle shell shield and blocked off waves of attacks. Meanwhile, Charles, who was hiding behind the shield, controlled the God-Slaying Dagger with his mind and ruthlessly slaughtered the demon tribe, taking the demons’ lives one after another.

His arm still remained around me, and he was crushing me into his body, holding me like he was worried I might slip away at any moment. Kael shoved me aside just as the creature lunged, a blade of black energy slashing through the space where my throat had been seconds earlier. I hit the ground hard, pain exploding through my shoulder. Kael drew a dagger from beneath his cloak, meeting the creature head-on. Steel clashed against shadow. The sound rang through the forest. “What is that thing?!” I shouted. Kael ducked another strike. “A Hollow.” “A what?!” “They hunt Guardians.”

Her special ability was that any time danger was near, her scales would glow brightly, as would her eyes. Angel was also invincible to other supernatural powers. It wasn’t like Shifters turned against all supernatural to protect humans, they also protected other supernatural creatures from humans

I assured, standing up. And I promise, I trained them lightly, going through arrows exercise to shooting to other weapon usage that didn't have to do with sparing. The injury was starting to take a toll on me as my healing was slow. I could barely stand on my own and was beginning to feel the impact on the sun.
