I guessed it was just his time. I heard my voice from the tv, which brought me back to the sitting room. I immediately remembered the video,that day we just ended a mission. We usually worked together during the attacks and all. In the video I was correcting him on how to pronounce my name, he always called it "Jubah" instead of "Joba". At a point I thought he was just doing it to provoke me, but he really couldn't pronounce it. He blamed it on his accent, he had this strong english accent. ​Thorne’s POV ​The mountain spoke to me in a way it never spoke to the humans. To them, the North was a collection of rocks, ice, and ancient trees. To a wolf, the mountain was a living, breathing entity. It had a pulse that vibrated through the pads of my paws. It had a scent that changed with the seasons—the smell of sleeping minerals in the winter, the scent of damp moss in the spring. And right now, the mountain was screaming.

Six of their bodyguards followed them while the remaining four including the Captain stayed at the docked yacht. They were just entering the mountainous forest when they heard growls; loud growls of a man in pain. “Stop, did you hear that?” Mr. Marby motioned to his wife and bodyguards to stop and listen.

A deafening crack interrupted her as the mountainside split wider. She finished anyway. "...to keep everything else out." The valley went utterly silent. No one spoke. No one even seemed willing to breathe. Then something enormous slammed into the far side of the mountain. Once. The impact shook the entire peak. A second blow followed almost immediately, sending boulders crashing into the valley below. The third strike was stronger still. A jagged fissure raced through the snow toward the camp, tearing open the frozen earth until it stopped only a few feet from Astrid's boots.

"You ready for this?" She nodded, her voice steady. "We don't have a choice." James, seated beside her, was unusually quiet. She could feel the weight of his thoughts, the burden he carried. She reached out, her fingers brushing against his. He glanced at her, and for a moment, the tension eased. "We'll get through this," she said softly. He squeezed her hand, his expression softening.
