Angel Academy

Angel Academy

I mutter. "Okay I'm done but you got me hooked so you have to keep reading," she laughs, moving to sit beside me. I nod and skip ahead a few pages until I reach chapter one. I take a deep breath and start reading, my voice changing almost instantly. "My lungs burned with each panting breath as I sprinted across the rocky slope of the mountain. My body ached with fatigue and the landscape was starting to blur, but I kept pushing myself as the voices behind me grew louder. I stumbled a bit on the rocks, but immediately got up and continued clambering over the boulders.

Deceived by the Delta

Deceived by the Delta

We were able to find the spot they used to climb up the side of the mountain easily. Just as we reached a flat section of the mountain with a cave entrance set back about a metre from the edge, we froze, the 4 of us pricked our ears up trying to work out what it was we were hearing. Before I could work out what the noise was, a body came flying out at us, a foaming at the mouth, filthy rogue had launched himself at me, I fell to the ground but managed to stay on the mountain side, holding his jaws between my hands trying to keep him from closing his teeth on my throat. Just as suddenly as he had appeared, he disappeared, another body had come flying from the cave entrance and using his momen

Beauty & the Alpha

Beauty & the Alpha

Adam noticed that I wasn’t leading them, and told the others to go ahead, while he stayed back with me. “You can go ahead. There’s something I want to try.” “You’re not disappearing on us again, are you?” I shook my furry head, of which the fur had lost its former radiance. “I’ll be back soon, I promise.” I wasn’t as fast on four legs as I was before, and by the time I reached the bottom of the mountain, I was panting, my tongue dangling from the left side of my mouth. Still, I trudged along, refusing to give up, and reached the top of the mountain. I dragged my paws towards the precipice that overlooked Pleasant Hill. With eyes full of desolation, I looked out into the distance, and howled

Lost Alpha: Switched At Birth

Lost Alpha: Switched At Birth

Do what you must. She scaled the side of the mountain, her pace ever steady on the narrowing, rocky paths. The mountainside was sparse compared to the dense forest at its base. Tree cover dwindled, and terrain shifted easily underfoot. Rocks and pebbles that pricked painfully at the pads of Arya's paws. But still, she charged onward. Driven by a single-minded focus on the small notch in the mountain's face. You're amazing, Arya! I marveled. The world was so much bigger than I ever realized. From the side of the mountain, I saw the entirety of Snow Pointe's territory. And beyond.

Eliza: The Awakening (Book 1)

Eliza: The Awakening (Book 1)

“It’s more like camping by the lake and catching fish for breakfast.” Holding back the incredulous laugh that rolled around in her stomach over his reaction to what she considered an easy slope, Eliza did her best to sound serious as she said, “I see. Well, it is the side of a mountain, but it will level off. It’s only Mount Everest for a short time.” “Thank god for that,” he said. “My bum knee is already shouting at me.” Eliza had started to walk toward the trail opening. Upon hearing this last comment, she stopped and turned to face him.

Fated to My Mate's Twin

Fated to My Mate's Twin

Turning to look at the spot he smiled and said, “The wind told me about your arrival as soon as you stepped foot on the border of this pack. This whole mountain is like my home and everything that happens here is known to us and is informed to us by nature itself.” His words sounded as if it was from a fairytale and soon after he spoke those words the wind caressed us lightly with its gentle touch and smiling up at the sky Elder Morris said, “It welcomes you.” “Elder Morris if you don’t mind then can we go inside and talk about everything else, Asa is still very weak and needs a lot of rest,” Cain said coming to aid my back with a hand on it and instantly leaning against him I smiled up at h

Really loved that. It's new to me, I am not a big fan of Werewolves tho. But enjoying it so far. I hope Crain will take Asa's revenge from Clay. That was so heart breaking when she misunderstood him. Well done!

The writing is very captivating. The characters are believable and I cared about them. I sincerely don't want asa to land with clay. She deserves better!! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes werewolf romance. It's so worth the read!

The Dark Protector

The Dark Protector

It lays simply across my chest and over one shoulder leaving my arms free to collect what I find. I’ve been searching for an hour when I hear voices on the mountain below me. “Someone must be up there. There wouldn’t be a fire if there wasn’t someone up there.” A man’s voice says. “That doesn’t mean it’s a shifter.” Another voice says. “Who else is going to be out here, you idiot? No human could climb that mountain.” A third voice says. I crouch down, next to the tree I’m standing beside, listening. “That’s a good point. So, how do we get up there?” The first voice asks.

Another fantastic story from author Cooper!! I highly recommend books by this author. The stories/characters are always original, compelling, stories are updated regularly, and are NEVER abandoned. As with other books in this, as well as The Guardian series, I thoroughly enjoyed The Dark Protector

The Alpha’s Second Life

The Alpha’s Second Life

"If I go, you take him! Do you understand? You take him!" "I’m not taking anything without you!" "You will! You have to!" The light expanded, swallowing the remains of the cabin, the trees, the horizon. It turned the night into a blinding, featureless noon. Richard felt his skin prickling, the hair on his arms standing up as the static electricity in the air became a physical weight. "The mountain," Richard shouted, clutching Joshua’s hand. "The mountain is splitting!" "It’s not splitting," Joshua’s voice dropped to a whisper, intimate and terrifyingly calm. "It’s opening."

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

The one who burned silver and gold and healed wolves from the inside out. I’ve never met her, but the stories had even made their way here, to Mountain Ridge, and I’ve learned that stories have a habit of becoming truths. The meeting drags on for another half hour, filled with strategy and uneasy agreements and the subtle flares of power that came with any attempt at unity. When it finally ends, I shut the tablet off with more relief than I care to admit. Bastian stands from his chair beside me, already pulling off his shirt. “Run?”

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.

Blindside Beauty

Blindside Beauty

then he continues to speak, " Now, before we start on the Mountain, let me say this, the mountain will kick your butt again and again and again; it isn't designed to be beaten out or won, but it's designed to attack your weaknesses and will/desire to continue. If you continue to push yourself, it will reward you with endurance and other rewards you never thought you needed. So you ready to get started? " With a determined grin, Alexandra nods and follows Jeremy to the mountain. They start the trek up the Mountain. About a quarter of the four-mile hike, she starts to feel it, and she starts breathing harder. With determination, she pushes through as she wouldn't back down from a challenge so
