Elaine was extremely solemn as she said, “Let me tell you. Someone was killed by a ghost at the Mount Phoenix Cemetery last night! Even his brain was completely sucked out! It is said that he was bleeding out of his seven orifices when he died, and there was a big hole on the top of his head. As a result, his head turned out to be an empty shell with nothing inside at all!” When Claire heard this, she could not help but have a helpless expression on her face as she said, “Mom, no matter what it is, you’re still a university graduate. You actually believe such rumors? There is no such thing as ghosts in this world! It’s all just a lie.”

After a moment of silence, she whispered, “They say this place is haunted.” Jackson’s jaw tightened as he struggled with a response. Should he admit to her that he agreed with the rumor? Should he tell her that, like Mike and her father, he’d seen and felt things that shouldn’t have been there? He hadn’t even admitted that to the men. He’d only admitted to the place giving him the creeps. Something inside of him kept him from voicing it. It was as if voicing it would make it real. “I saw that woman looking out of the window,” Melody confessed. “She’s not right. She looks dead.”

And he secretly just wanted to leave the room. "They are called Ghouls." Everyone's attention shifted towards the large Shifter as he said this. "What..?" Ezekiel asked and once more Mantilo spoke a name that literally made Brandon want to gag. "Ghouls....." Mantilo supplied once more. "I believe that is the long forgotten name for these monstrosities that have intruded on our lands." Mantilo growled as he walked further into the room stepping casually over the shattered chair blocking the door way. "Over the last few days, I've dug through a few of the minds of the men in the villages, and then I did some research on my own in the library."

Austin asked, almost not believing what she said "How is you seeing me possible?" She asked, and he rolled his eyes, knowing she made a point. "With everything that happened. Starting with me trying to go back to Boston, then realising I'm a ghost. I went back there and jumped into that empty grave, Trying to kill myself"

I stayed with Justin throughout the morning. Luckily for him the wraiths had improved. They were faster and more precise and could even doge slightly. For being soul spirits of the deceased they had improved greatly. At around midday Justin waved the wraiths off. “They are doing better.” I spoke carefully watching him dunk a bucket of water over his head. “Not good enough. They need to not hesitate. Kill faster and more cleaner.” Justin paused “If they are not ready by Summer Solstice, Eric will not let it go lightly.”

His face looked grim, like he was going to deliver bad news, my heart sank thinking the worst. “Sorry Mrs King, it was a magical form of wolvesbane that William was in contact with. From my research it appears that it can trap the soul in the afterlife while his physical body remains. Unless someone has made medical advances for souls,I am not sure how we can help him.” His soul is gone? Was his voice really above me because his soul was talking to me? Williams mother collapsed into her chair, a fresh wave of tears washing down her face. Hearing this Olive rushes in, no longer able to keep herself out, wrapping her mother in her arms while her own face was covered with tears.

The ghost looked at me with pleading eyes. "Those are talismans of Gong tau," Miyako whispered; Chinese black magic. "Those are finger bones," the friendless one added. Smashing them seemed like the sane thing to do. Pamela wouldn't have liked that excuse. I held up each trinket before the ghost. The first one - nothing. The second one - pleading. The third one - nothing. I had to be sure. I smashed the second one. The ghost's shape rippled then began to fade.

Her skin crawled at the silhouette coming towards her but as it approached, it turned out to be Melisa. She eased up and walked towards her. Melisa's face frowned questioningly as she whispered, "Essie, what are you doing outside? Shouldn't you be sleeping by now?" "I know but I couldn't sleep. I think I saw a ghost earlier." Melissa giggled as soon as she heard this. She smacked her shoulder lightly and said, "A ghost? Do you believe in ghosts?" "No, but I heard that they do exist." Suddenly Mellisa distinctly heard the noise that was coming from the direction of the guest room. There seemed to be merriment. She smirked and remarked,

Jimmy and Roman, the head of security who was keeping an eye on Mac Rattray, exchanged a wary glance as they took in Eli's murderous look. Eli entered the room with Mac Rattray's dossier and a black fountain pen in his hand. Mac Rattray took one look at The Ghost and his blood chilled in horror. Mac had heard a lot of stories about The Ghost and the infamous Michealson treatment. They were the stuff of nightmares for people like him in Vegas. "Sit down, Mac. Can I call you Mac?" Eli asked genially as he took the seat across his guest. "Sure, Mr. Michealson, sir. Whatever you want," Mac stuttered.

As soon as Maiko approached the stake, a burst of energy exploded, which made her exclaim in pain, causing her to retreat in a hurry. The woman who had fallen from the sky was Freya Mayer. She glanced at Maiko coldly, seemingly not in a hurry to deal with her. Freya turned her cold eyes towards Alex and snorted. “Susan, this is William’s son? The father is heroic, but the son is a b*stard. How low he must’ve fallen, to the point he has a female ghost under his command. With this sort of trash, going to Caesar's tomb is equivalent to entering our own death!”
