I don’t know whether I am doing right or wrong and the only way to find the answer is going there. I got the job for a personal assistant position in Stone corporations, and they interviewed me online. I felt weird about that. And also weird name and I hope there will be no weird people. The streets narrowed, descending down the side of the island, twisting and turning with beautiful stone buildings, cobblestone streets, and windows decorated to their finest, trying to catch the eye of a potential customer. Roman and Naham listen to Atticus talk, telling them stories from his past and giving them a peek of the dragon realm before it was destroyed. As they descend down the steep slope of the street, Naham is filled with deja vu. When the road levels out at the bottom, it veers to the right. Once you turn, you can go straight or turn left. If you turn left, the building immediately on the right is where his papa's bakery was.

Milo asks me next, he had no idea where we are and he’s so mad at us already. “We’re on our way back home,” I assure him, we’ll be there by dinner. “Where are you Stella?” he asks again. “On the road,” I say, I had no idea where we are, it’s the first time I leave the town, and although this country is beautiful, I’m not familiar with any of the streets or their names, I looked around me confused, could I see a street name or something? “What road?” he asks me again. “I have no idea Milo, we’re just cruising around, Theo, is showing me the country,” I say going with that as an excuse to why we’re out.

I snort. Her hand swings forward, slamming into the side of my head. It tingles, not with pain, but with softness. She recoils in her seat, her eyes burning with embarrassment. “Up next?” “Gregor street, the fountain by the old warehouse.” She grumbles the words out. My brows quirk, that street is quiet with abandoned buildings and a few contractors renovating the old houses there. I know that because I've walked every part of this city with the Don. I can literally call myself a map.

There's still a lot about her I don’t know and the past she spent here. As I venture deeper into the underworld, the whispers and murmurs around me grow louder. The denizens of this street, a motley crew of outcasts and criminals, eye me with suspicion. Their eyes, hardened by the harsh realities they have faced till now, seem to bore into my soul. I simply ignore their stares and keep up the mask of nonchalance. It does not bother me because I have been here a few times before. Joshua sighs beside me. “It's those stares that always get me. Why is it always the men staring at us? Where are the ladies?” He asks as he scans the street we are walking through.
