Yes, I would have if the circumstances were not like that. Hades, the Greek God of Underworld. His name suited him in all ways. He was handsome, his features like that of a Greek God. That night in the light of the road lamps I tried to dive into his sparkling blue eyes. I was pushed back as if not given access. He was in control as if he was just looking for his pleasure.

A Hades is the ferryman to whatever lies beyond life. It’s only natural to fear death. Death is inevitable, and all of us shall greet Hades someday. My prophesized destruction is only that, a prophesy. There is no guarantee that the prophecy will happen so that a glimmer of hope of salvation still exists.

Then big hands came up breaking away at the ground around the crack, making way for a larger being to come out. “Ares, I don’t know if you… If you have ever met Hades. He’s a God, just like you, so you should have at least heard of him.” I grinned. The look on Ares face said it all. The ground beneath me shook and everyone struggled to stand upright as Hades hooves stomped on the ground coming towards me. “Well, Ryder. It looks like I was right about you. Your energy fed me for two years. I knew it wouldn’t be wise to stand against you. I owe you, kid. Just tell me what to do.”

They could have served as Dionysus's sparring partners. Unluckily, their opponent was the grumpy Hades. When some of the great soldiers arrived and surrounded him, their heads accurately snapped toward Hades that was standing leisurely in between the chaos and their expressions rapidly hardened. “It’s Lord Hades.” “Can we win against him?” “Who can partner up with me? We will destroy him together.” “I can’t.” “Not ready.” “I still love my life.” “Shit, his magic power is overload.” Hades snickered mischievously. His playful and sadistic side resurrected within himself.

Calw waved his hand indignantly, threw the blood-stained towel on the ground, and shouted at Mitch coldly, “Mitch Cole, I’m Calw, the great envoy of the Hall of the Underworld! Do you dare lay a finger on me? Do you know what the consequences are? What you’ll face, no, what your territory will face is the revenge from the Hall of the Underworld! Lord Hades will never let you off! He might even come to your territory in person to demand an explanation!” Calw was right. Hades, the lord of the Underworld, was an extremely protective person. He was very proud and arrogant. In the West, his reputation was no less than Zeus, the head of the Sacred Halls and the Sun God. Zeus had the highest honor.

I managed to say in a whisper, but it only made him smile sadly. I still was in horror, my heart aching for him. Hades had been burdened with a powerful gift, a curse that had nearly destroyed his family. His guilt was palpable, a constant reminder of the mistakes he had made. The memory of the incident must have been a constant source of torment, a reminder of the destruction he was capable of. Hades’ story was a heartbreaking revelation, a glimpse into the depths of his pain and suffering.

I struggled to speak, swallowing nervously as I straightened up and tried to break my hand from his but he would not let me go, "n-nothing..." He hummed, his eyes looking me head to toe for any wounds, "I suppose you are correct, my Aphrodite," he paused, leaning down and placing his forehead on mine, "there is always some truth to myths. I, of all people," he pressed his nose against my button nose, his lips a breath away from my own, "should know that."
