I saw a wolf, but this wolf was unlike any I've ever seen. Its fur was pure white, and it was glowing. Its eyes were like galaxies, swirling with stars and cosmic dust. I stumbled back, my mouth hanging open. "What... who are you?" The celestial wolf tilted its head, regarding me with those impossible eyes. "I am many things, Lyra of the Black Moon Pack. Guardian of knowledge. Keeper of secrets. Some have called me the First Wolf, though that name is not entirely accurate." I swallowed hard, trying to process what I was seeing. "Are you... a god?"

Alpha Maxwell asked and the witch nodded. “Yes. The moon goddess”, she said and immediately her eyes changed to gold and her voice became angelic. “I am Selene, the moon goddess. She and I laughed as I sighed, “Young love.” King Fenris asked, “Can we take this to the conference room? I just heard from my warriors.” We all walked to the conference room, and I took a seat next to Aidinth, and waited for everyone else to take their seats. As soon as everyone was in the room, King Fenris told us, “The wolves are from a nearby pack named The Bronzetooth Pack. Their alpha, Alpha Dolph Lobo is a real character. I think Alpha Damien would be of great use here.”

Cygnus and Stella immediately stood in front of Lynx, protecting him from the threat. Enne, who was in Lynx's body, could feel the tension mounting. She knew the battle was inevitable. The falling snow was getting heavier, covering the ground with a thick layer of white. The sound of howling wind set the scene for the battle between the two great wolves-Cygnus, the white wolf Altair, and the black wolf Andhara. Adolf, I mean Ares, never told me that he had brothers, nor that they were identical triplets. He told me his name was Adolf, but that seems to be his wolf’s name. Why did he keep that information from me? Why did he lie about his name?

I scratch my head, trying to remember if I’ve heard the name mentioned in any meetings with other packs. I know all the Jacksonville wolves, of course, and she’s not among them. The only other wolves in the area are the poacher triplets who like to hunt on our territory to piss me off instead of finding unclaimed land to hunt. But that’s a different story, and those fuckers are thugs who definitely don’t carry a delicate wolf name like Luna. I try it out in my mind. Luna. It’s the perfect wolf name, beautiful and ethereal, like a morning glory or a moth.

“Oscar, what’s the name of your wolf?” “Dionysus.” “Fuck, it really is true,” I swore. “Theo and Noah will follow soon. Jacob, who was born first?” “Noah.” “If everything is to be believed, Noah’s wolf will appear in the next 24 hours, and Theo’s after that.” I leaned back in my chair, letting my eyes fall closed. “Noah’s wolf will be Hephaestus, Theo’s will be Hermes.” The room was full of stumped wolves.
