we both said in unison. “Yes, my sweet children. I brought you here to share with you, your destiny.” Louise and I looked at each other confused, then looked at her. “What do you mean Moon Goddess?” Louise asked. “Please call me Selene. And for centuries wars have broken out for one reason or another. They don’t happen as much anymore but they still happen occasionally. I have brought you here to explain why you both have been given the vision of foresight.” “Foresight? You mean like and oracle?” I asked.

Everything was ruined the moment I pursued traces of the Promised Land. Inasmuch as I hate to admit this, I am not an Elder God. I wasn't alive during the time Odin unified the 1st Heaven and conquered Yggdrasil. I wasn't present when Zeus felled Cronos and rose to the seat of godking of the 2nd Heaven. And I definitely wasn't alive when Seth slaughtered his entire family. To me, these things were legends; they were myths. And honestly, I never believed any of them. After all, these people were gods like myself. I knew that I definitely couldn't do the things that they had done, so how could they? Surely the rumors about them were exaggerated and their lores overstated. At least, that's what

Since Ghazal was afraid to ride the bike with me and Hadiya we decided not to pressurize her and now she was bringing the equipment, the dresses and Shayla who was our makeup artist for today, in her car so that me and Hadi don't die on the road. The wind swished past me making me close my eyes to savor the moment. The familiar feeling of heaviness came rushing back to me as I stepped into the haveli. The whispers started making me lose myself in them but I snapped out of them, I came here to work not to have yet another episode of Zoya's panic attacks. "Do you plan on going crazy yet again?" Hadiya asked, seeing me lost in my thoughts. This place is haunted in some way. Not the paranormal t

I asked him, panic thick in my voice as I suddenly looked around in fright and waited for whatever this evil may be to suddenly attack me since I was aware of its existence. "Tis a tale, is it not?" he casually spoke with a shrug and I shook my head. "There is truth in myths, Abigor. You of all people should know that," he was a man of intelligence, no doubt a man that should be aware of truths in all matters myth or folklore, "and what you have described...only one mythical creature is capable of sucking the blood out of its victims..." Master Abigor looked down at me, his eyes emotionless yet eager. The left corner of his lips slightly raised as he gave me a slow blink, "and which mythical

Sryrn and her queen's men replie Moriah peeled off the glove and let it fall to the ground, ready to turn into the Legend. The gods in the pyre were scarcely recognizable anymore. The head fell off the smith with a puff of ash and embers. Myra sang in the tongue of Waterfall, her voice rising and falling like the tides of the sea. Ezekiel untied his singed leather cape and listened in silence. Thrust in the ground, it still glowed ruddy hot, but the flames that clung to the sword were dwindling and dyin

“I understand it’s too much to take at once, to imagine that everything you have known about your history and present is not the complete truth, that the world is more than what you imagined. I think we need to start from the beginning. You need to know how we werewolves came to be. The FIRST WEREWOLF. “ Wow!! Just one, I thought, ‘blessed ones’ were in the plural. So, it all started with just one person? But I do not have time to clarify as Avo narrates the story of the first werewolf. “This goes several millennia ago when humans first came to be. Apart from animals and your flora and fauna, the earth was also inhibited by beings called the ‘Old Gods‘.“ “Old Gods?“ “Yes, the old Gods, or wh

"So who can explain more of Myth functions?" "Myth has two main functions, The first is to answer the sort of awkward questions that children ask, such as 'Who made the world? How will it end? Who was the first man? Where souls go after death?'...The second function of Myth is to justify an existing social system and account for traditional rites and customs. In ancient Greece, stories about gods and goddesses and heroes and monsters were an important part of everyday life. They explained everything from religious rituals to the weather, and they gave meaning to the world people saw around them." All students turned their heads to look shockingly at Damien who answered the question.

FACT VS FICTION INDEX This is more a Myth VS Fiction index for those who don't believe in Greek Mythology - none of this, as far as I'm aware, is known to be a sure fact - these are simply what my research told me and what I used to build the story. FACT: Pluto, Plouton, Hades, and Lucifer are all different names used for the ruler of the underworld. FACT: Zeus is said to have dozens of offspring with both Goddesses and mortal consorts.

The latter seemed to hesistate for a moment before releasing a small sigh as she raised her other hand and pointed it right at the mirror before us that seemed to shift under the assault of her magic to showcase not our reflections but a reel of events that shifted almost like a movie. "Long ago, in an age before creation, there were beings who existed in the beyond. Deities who saw it fit to create the beings that we are today. They have been known throughout history by different names depending on the culture of the people. Zeus, Hades, Poseidon...the gods of Greek, Roman, Irish mythology and beyond. They existed and they created not only the mortals but our

'I bet there are thousands of mythological books' I thought, I looked around as much as I could while Hades carried me. ''You love books, don't you?'' He commented as he weaved his way through shelf after shelf of books, following Lachesis. ''No, just mythological books,'' I replied ''The underworld is the source of all mythological books and stories.'' Hades huffed. ''Are you not serious?'' I asked in disbelief. ''Do you know the myth of Cerberus?'' He asked. ''Of course. He's the Greek hellhound. It's one of the most famous myths'' I replied.
