The First Alpha

The First Alpha

Leah also gave a look of disapproval. "Callie, I agree with them. I just wasted my time." I got up when I remembered that I was on my way to the garden. "What? Those stories are pretty lame, to begin with." "Not when nana tells them." The kids retorted. Nana arrived soon to tell a different version of the first werewolf that happened in Egypt where people considered shapeshifting a gift and not a curse. I grew up listening to nana's stories, about demon kings and dragon queens and all things fantasy. My all-time favorite was the story of my mother, except for the part where she dies.

"Once upon a time..." gave me the feels! You know, I often get bored when the starting line of a book isn't catchy or enough to fix my eyes on the next words but this one got me. Narration is great because it made me imagine every scene. Best of luck, author! ♥

"A traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events." One of the students answered. "That's very nice definition of Myth John." Grace said smiling at John. "So who can explain more of Myth functions?"

The Orphan and the Mythics

The Orphan and the Mythics

I left out all the Idris info to him, not knowing if my brother knows him or not. “A Phoenix Aurora? How did you know about them? No one ever speaks of them anymore since they have been extinct for so long.” He looks at me truly puzzled by what I have said. “You see a Phoenix is the Lord of all creation, before everything from the very beginning. Men invented books depicting of a “human god” the all mighty that made everything from nothing. This is not true. The Phoenix, is the most rare mythical creature to have ever lived. Liliane lifted her head, and her hooded eyes come in contact with Jae Woon's surprised look and Seiran's disbelief expression. "Goddess Athena's descendant? You mean Danial is...?" Seiran almost choked on her biscuit when she heard the shocking news from her mother. "I thought, the story about Goddess Athena is only a myth. a legend of our empire, being passed down from one descendant to another for learning purposes?" " You should probably aware, legend also had a solid background story behind them, Ran," Liliane responded. "The story is passed down from one generation to another generation because they hold some truth in them. A legend is not a baseless story without any evidence in suppor

Leave it to Everleigh to make a person long for their own broody, sexy dragon. Seriously though, I couldn't put this book down. The world this author has created is so vibrant and fun it makes you want to dive in to the pages.

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

“You must be extremely careful. You never know what kind of magic may be inside, and what gods we’ll upset if any pages are torn.” He’d said it in jest, of course. At least I thought so at the time. But he’d been right to be careful with the massive text. Inside were stories of a land lost to time, each page illustrated with great care and skill. Myths and legends of the old gods and goddesses and their trials, stories of their people, their subjects, their heroes and enemies. And their beasts.

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

Sometimes they act in the most disturbing ways, sometimes they surprise you with the most iconic actions. - I think of you, Mielle, and Jade, and believe again in humanity. - Do you think this painting is beautiful? - Yes. It is mesmerizing. It pictures the most emotional scene in the myth. A maiden sacrificed by her king, her parents, and her goddess, is saved by a brave hero who fell in love with her. He killed the sea monster and defeated his competitor in love and made her his legitimate wife. It is quite rare to find a Greek myth with a happy ending. This one is.

Fun of a Lifetime

Fun of a Lifetime

“Why did you let Michael know you existed? Why did you have to stay on the boat? Why couldn’t you have stayed in the ocean where you belong and where none of us would be the wiser?” No adult in this world would have believed Michael’s story if it had come out. Adults never did. Eventually, Michael would have forgotten about her or have come to think of her as an odd dream he’d had as a child— after all, who didn’t believe in mermaids and fairies and unicorns at some point in their lives? It had happened before. That was how the myths had started in the first place. Some Human had written down a child’s recol¬lection and called it a fable.
