Myths Artemis Novels & Stories

She gives me control and I shift and I hear Silas shift right after me. Silas The woman is another goddess, although I don’t know which one she is. She looks at Lux curiously and doesn’t seem to care about me. Suddenly, her eyes met mine and she smiled softly before saying, “I apologize for the hunt you two. I’m Artemis, the goddess of hunting, the wilderness, nature, chastity, and child birth. If I noticed your situation from the beginning then I never would’ve allowed anyone to hunt you.” My eyebrows furrow in confusion and Lux seems confused as well as she says, “I don’t know what you mean by ‘our situation’. But we appreciate you stopping the hunt.”

“You are right, Clara! The constellation Orion was inspired from Orion, a hunter in Greek mythology. They say Orion was the only lover of Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the hunt. Artemis had a distaste for men, except Orion. Only Orion was accidentally killed by her.” “What? That sounds quite tragic,” I told him. I might not be a fan of mythology gods, mostly because I do not believe it is true but it sounds to me that Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the hunt has quite a sad story. “Yes. I can not imagine being able to love someone then accidentally doing something bad to them,” Gavin said as he looked at me.

Slowly, in the caress of his soft lips, flash after flash of memory showed how Artemisya died because of me. And, I lived taking over her body. "Actually, what kind of karma is the universe trying to give?"

She had believed that it was all something that had been made up just so they all could cope with how sh*tty life was. Had she been wrong? Because there…there she was. The Moon goddess was standing right there. The only reason she had chosen not to believe in the goddess was because of the whole Elijah thing. The rejection and being mated to someone that she didn’t love; someone that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t bring herself to love. “You have so much doubt, my love,” The goddess spoke, her voice so gentle and beautiful. It was as smooth as honey, but you could tell that it held a power that was unimaginable.

whispered Selene as she took her place on the cool, soft grass. A doe with golden horns came forward to place her head under the hand of the warrior goddess before closing her eyes. "One of the soul mates I have created is always killed before she can meet her match," Selene began. Artemis shrugged dismissively. "I don't care. I helped you create these creatures in the past. What glory would I get today from helping you again? "Mercy, Artemis. It took us an immeasurable amount of time to be able to give birth to Magnus' soul mate," pleaded Selene.

She looked at me, shaking her head. I was stunned by her words. The moon goddess saved her? Artemis never came whenever she was summoned. She was the goddess who never shows her face to her people and hearing that she saved my mate, it was a shock. “So, how do you expect me to believe that you hadn't killed me when I saw you with my own eyes? If indeed you hadn't done it. Artemis would have told me everything. She would have told me that this was all a lie. That you would never try to kill your own mate. But she didn't tell me shit, Kaizen. Why the fuck should I believe you then?” She asked calmly.

She added and Adira’s eyes widened the more in terror. “Who you saw in your dream is the moon goddess, she showed herself to you and the punishment, looks like she’s displeased with you,” Adira tried her best to explain, she knew who it was because herself and Clarissa had once had similar encounter with the goddess, “we need to summon the priest later tonight and offer some sacrifice to appease her. This is a bad omen, what did you do?” She asked and Valerie could hear the fear in her voice which only made her fear too.

For the first time in her life, she felt desperate and hated the Moon Goddess for placing her in such a situation, for making her feel so weak, so worthless, and so unattractive. She didn't believe the wolf-less bi**h was the Emperor's mate, but all the same, she hated the Moon Goddess for making Yusria beautiful enough to attract the attention of her beloved man. "You don't need to provoke me, Lady Eradine. My mate is breathtakingly beautiful and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm captivated by her. However, since you seem desperate, I'll accept your challenge on my mate's behalf. But I have a condition..." Zeonen swept his gaze over the eager and impatient crowd and smiled evilly.

I could only cry. Just when I thought I was free. Perhaps they were right after all, I was cursed by the moon goddess herself. I wondered what wrong I had done to the moon goddess in my past life to be subjected to this kind of life. With pain, I stood up from the bed, putting on my clothes slowly. My bottom was throbbing with pain. I could hardly stand fully on my feet. I stared at the room for the last time in tears then I turned around. It hurt so much that I was even unwanted by everyone I came across including my mates.

“What is this place? And who is this?“ I ask Draco and Giovanni, but it’s Avo who answers my question. “Welcome to the Garden of Artemis!“ “This is one of the ancient gardens, and this is lady, is Artemis, or she was dearly called Selene. She was the Goddess of the moon as well as of the forest and the hunt “Avo continues to explain while looking at Selene’s face with a fondness, almost like devotion. “But we will come to her later, “Avo says, turning towards me “Right now Omerta, we owe you some answers, and like I will answer all your questions, tell you everything that you want to know.“
