Nacht Black Clover First Appearance Novels & Stories

The twilight in Blackwater did not bring peace; it brought the awakening of horrors that the daylight kept cowed. Helena Moore was just a few meters from her porch when the air froze. It was not the cold of the mountain, but the vacuum of sound that precedes the predator’s leap. From the darkness between the pines, three silhouettes emerged. They were not the hunters from before, but something more organized, more lethal. They were members of the Iron Claws, mercenaries who reeked of dried blood and ancient hatred.

Three men burst into the room, dressed in black from head to toe, their silhouettes standing out like menacing shadows in the dim light. One of them, more imposing than the others, stood straight as a blade. He wore a black mask that revealed only his eyes—cold, implacable. Raphina, half-lying on the bed, jumped at the noise. His heart began to race, his brain unable to process what was happening. He didn't even have time to open his mouth before one of the men lunged at him.

It was as quiet as it could be and just when Helen thought she was done for, the unexpected happened. The room suddenly went dark as wisps of smoke covered the room, making it seem like a forbidden place. Helen's mouth dropped open as she was now lost. Thankfully, she was able to make use of her other eye, enabling her to see what was currently happening. Just as she began using it, she saw the figure of a person cloaked in black, standing right on front of her, giving her a shock and as if that wasn't enough, she stared straight at the black cloak. She could recognize the cloak even in her dreams as it was one which gave her nightmares.

Ariana’s POV The wind howled through the narrow alleyways of the Black Moon Clan's hidden village as I clung to the arm of Lucas. We were both disguised as an ordinary couple, our faces concealed by cloaks and hoods, our steps cautious and calculated. The Black Moon Clan was a place shrouded in darkness, a stark contrast to the shimmering beauty of the Silver Moon Clan where we had grown up. The uneasy atmosphere weighed heavily on my heart as we crept past guard posts, our hearts pounding with each step. The key to our infiltration was Beta Marcus, with connections to a peasant couple within the Black Moon Clan. He had provided us with the information and identities we needed to enter unnot

“That doesn’t explain why we weren’t affected.” “One mystery at a time.” I said. “but I’m sure that what they want to do has something to do with this amulet.” “Let’s hide it before daddy finds it and asks where you got it from.” Clary said. “Don’t worry. I know the perfect hiding spot.” ** ** ** The sky was pitch black, with only the faint glimmer of stars dotting the vast expanse. A crescent moon hung low, casting a dim silver light over the sleeping world.

Kieran’s POV The Nightclaw camp was a smoldering cemetery. The smell of charred wood, blood, and death was carried by smoke that curled into the chilly night air. Some of our warriors' and some of theirs' bodies were strewn all over the clearing. However, the fight was far from over. The Eclipse Coven had temporarily retreated. They would return. With her back to me and her shoulders swaying with every trembling breath, Evans stood in the center of it all. The faint glow from the mark on her palm persisted, as though it were whispering a promise she wasn't prepared to hear.

Clover POV When I wake up, the first thing I remember is that it’s Sunday. And then it hits me. I’m going to the Blackwoods. Oh my God. I’m going to the Blackwoods. I let out a long, shaky breath and stare up at the ceiling, my heart already racing. Grandma Lola is coming with me because Braylee still hasn’t been released from bed rest, and honestly thank God. I need backup. Real backup. Because the Smiths are going to be there.

I spun around, and that’s when I saw him. The man behind me. Holding a heavy stick dripping with blood. My blood. And the world went black.

A memory from the past. As nightfall descended upon the dense forest, three cloaked figures emerged from the shadows. Their feet made no sound as they maneuvered through the brush and trees. Ahead of them, a clearing appeared through which the full moon cast its ghostly light. With a nod from the lead witch dressed in an all-black cloak, they made their way to the center of the clearing to lure a creature.

She had already sprinted past the turnoff for her apartment building; leading these unknown killers to her safe house would be suicide. She needed to lose them in the dark, because if she failed to break their line of sight, she would likely end up as a corpse on an autopsy table by morning. The path ahead was pitch black, unlit by any city infrastructure, but her enhanced night vision handled the darkness without issue. Fortunately, she knew these back alleys like the back of her hand. Reaching the absolute end of the concrete maze, the narrow path finally opened up into the wide, brightly lit expanse of the multi-lane highway.
