Midnight Smiles

Midnight Smiles

It would be useless to deny anything. “Mhm." "Why didn't you say anything then? I named you after a book character." "You looked quite excited about it," Jake said softly, getting shy. Ryder felt even more guilty. Why the fuck did she name him Midnight? Better named him Spiderman, no difference. "We can think of another nickname..." "It's okay..." Jake interrupted her. No way will he let her call anything else. She… she said she loved this character... "What's the second question?"

Reina said. Argo Logan or Argo Fox. Mmm, that didn’t sound bad. And another A, like his father. Okay, then the fucking second one. Elora was a character from the TV show Willow.I liked Airk. You almost pronounce it like Erik, but it looked way more fucking cool. Argo Fox and Airk Logan. Two A names. I was sure Asher would be fine; he fucking trusted me with the names. "Or should they get more names like Aeryn?"

This is the incredible second book in the series. I fell in love with the characters in Alpha Osiris, and it is amazing to see how they grow and develop. Truly well written, great story lines, lots of steamyness, and great humor. I can't wait to see what Naomi D has is store next, for her readers.

So great seeing how the next generation is experiencing life in Iron River Pack. This book follows the teens as they come of age. All the characters from Alpha Osiris are here. I’d like to see more of the other kids as well. Very interesting so far. I love getting updates from the OG crew.

Sarah Killian Serial Killer (For Hire)

Sarah Killian Serial Killer (For Hire)

’s gave me, I feel like a little bit of wholesomeness would do me good. Before leaving the changing room, I take a quick look at my new identification documents. According to these various pieces of paper, my new name will be Jennifer Donner, twenty-eight years old. My new birthday is May tenth, and my parents are named Benjamin and Amanda. No siblings, which is standard protocol, as the less fake people THEM has to create, the better—for obvious reasons. The rest of my back story—relationship history, general life story, etcetera—is up to me to create. I’ll come up with most of it tonight, back at home, as I try on my new wardrobe and see what personality my new look and clothes come up wit

Mated to Three princes: And I hate it

Mated to Three princes: And I hate it

"Every third wolf is named Luna." "Fine. What's your suggestion?" "Something strong. Traditional. Royal." "Boring, you mean," Kieran says. They start arguing. I keep organizing. Sort tiny socks. Fold onesies. Arrange everything perfectly. "What about Alexander?" Damon suggests. "For a boy. Strong. Classic. Royal." "Alexander Thorne." Kieran tests it. "Not bad. But what if it's a girl?" "Victoria." "Absolutely not. Too stuffy." "You're too stuffy."

Teach me to desire

Teach me to desire

"They were just people. My father spent years making me feel like that side of me was a weakness. He called them 'common.' But Mrs. Elena told me my mother was the kindest person she’d ever met. I want to be associated with that, not with a bank balance." "Killian Vance," I said again, typing the letters into the form. My heart hammered against my ribs as I saw the name on the screen. "And I want a middle name. I never had one. My father said middle names were unnecessary fluff." "What are you thinking for the middle?" Igor asked. "Thomas," I said quietly. "Thomas? Where does that come from?" "It was the name of the character in that history book I liked. The one who stayed behind to save th

“Let’s start throwing out ideas and see what sticks.” “Okay,” Isolde said, leaning forward with interest. “If they’re dragons, maybe something powerful like Pyra and Draven.” “Or if they’re wolves,” Cheyenne added, “something classic and moonlit. Like Lune or Fenric.” Tora covered her face with her hands. “You guys are going to give them identity crises before they’re even born.” Chelsea was already on a roll. “If one’s a boy, I vote we name him Brimstone. Brim for short.”

The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

"About how Daddy changed." "Will we be in it?" Nova asked. "Yes. But we're not using your real names. We're protecting you." "What names are you using?" "We haven't decided yet. Maybe you can help us choose." Rowan thought about it seriously. "Can my character be named Max? That's cool." "And mine can be Stella!" Nova added. "Max and Stella it is." Asher wanted to be a dinosaur. We told him we'd see what we could do. "When can we read it?" Rowan asked.

Soul Shard Captor [BL]

Soul Shard Captor [BL]

“We couldn’t call it Soul Coupling because it’s not the same ability! We then considered calling it Soul Meld, Soul Sync, or Spirit Embrace, but all three were already taken!” Noah’s expression turned strange. Why did this story make him think of a couple of otakus sitting around a computer trying to play a super popular new MMO but getting stuck on the last step of character creation because they just couldn’t find a good name for their painstakingly created character that wasn’t already taken? Frequently Asked Questions

Naming characters is one of my favorite parts of writing! For a fantasy novel, I'd go for something melodic but with weight, like 'Elysara Veyth' or 'Kaelthor the Sundered.' Those names feel ancient yet fresh, like they belong to a world of magic and forgotten lore. For sci-fi, sharp, futuristic names work—maybe 'Zyr-9' or 'Nexis Vail,' which sound like they could pilot a starship or outsmart an AI overlord.

Contemporary stories need names with personality quirks—'Dashiell Finch' for a witty detective, or 'Luna Reeves' for a free-spirited artist. I love digging into etymology or mashing up syllables until something clicks. Once, I combined 'serene' and 'aster' to get 'Seraster,' which became a queen in one of my drafts. The key is balancing uniqueness with readability—no one wants to stumble over a name every page!
