Names For Moon Goddess Novels & Stories

The air from her lungs makes a snorting sound as it passes through her snout. “In ancient times, the three faced goddess represented Selene, Hecate, and Artemis. Artemis the maiden, Selene the mother, and Hecate the crone. All three considered moon goddesses with only Selene being the personification of the moon.” Theia says slowly, thinking through the stories she knows. “Artemis?” I ask unaware of her story or connection.

Clavier called the Daemon High Lord as if he expected his best friend to explain everything. As he spoke, Stefano brushed his long fingers against Anita's brow, "It's something I've known for a long time. It's just what Mother wanted for." Mother. The Moon Goddess was referred to as Mother by Stefano. Because she was the Mother of all supernatural beings, every celestial entity addressed the Moon Goddess as Mother. "What makes you think the Moon Goddess would want another God?" Clavier questioned. Stefano took a deep breath and exhaled quickly. "His presence will not necessarily throw the balance off."

And that's when I remember something, a narrative or a legend I've heard for the longest time. The moon goddess has four warriors....Hera, Aurora, Zoe and Iris who serve her faithfully. Wherever she goes, they are there with her. They are strong, beautiful and smart. No one can ever get close to the moon goddess because of these warriors. However, time must come when they have to leave their mistress behind and descend in our world for they will protect our kind from all danger. No one knows who they are or when they will come, but we all must alert until they show up.

She leaned closer to me. I shook my head no. "Honestly, no. I would be outside with my dad a lot working on cars but when it got dark out I used to just start talking to the moon." I stopped talking, realizing how crazy that sounded. "Ah, yes. The moon. You know many believe that the moon is masculine in nature, but it's actually Selene herself, the Moon Goddess. The divine feminine. I think she misses your talks. I hear she has big plans for you." If Ginny didn't offer us a roof over our heads I would call my mom right now and get her to an looney bin. "I can see in your eyes that you don't believe me. Why not see for yourself?" She got up and handed me a book on Greek mythology.

She gently runs her fingers over Gillian’s fur and Aisling surprises me by lifting her neck in submission. ‘Mother.’ ‘You’re the Moon Goddess?” I ask. “Yes. I am Selene.” “Am I dead?” “No, but I might have terrified your mate a bit by bringing you here when I did. I apologize for interrupting your marking, but I made a deal with your mother. And unfortunately, the only way to bring you here and not cause pain to your mates was to disconnect your mate bond completely. But I promise, when you return, it will be fully functional again.”

The moment my consciousness sank into boundless darkness, I thought it was the end. But then, warmth seeped into me. My eyes fluttered open, and I saw the moon goddess again. "...Dear moon goddess?" I whispered, my voice echoing in the vast, starry void. "My mission failed. I didn't win anyone's love." The Goddess's compassionate gaze fell upon me, her ethereal voice echoing through the space, reaching the very depths of my being. [Child, according to our agreement, with the failure of your mission and confirmation of your death, your consciousness should have completely dissipated.]

I nodded my head again only to correct myself and whisper a soft, “yes.” “Good little bunny.” His hand rubbed the top of my head, making me smile brightly as his teeth glistened in the red sun. Clearing his throat, he pointed to the moon that hung on the opposite side of the sky. “Selene is who you saw. She is the Moon Goddess, that is why she has a moon crescent on her forehead.” My eyes trailed to the blue moon, cocking my head to the side in wonder.

He looked at her and waited for what she had to say. "Good answer. You have a way with that mouth of yours, don't you?" She said and then continued, "I am the wolves Goddess. They love to call me the Moon Goddess because I control the moon and thus, their seasons and the powers each holds. That was the task mother gave me," she said and she now had his whole attention. "Mother?" He asked wondering who the mother was. "Yes, mother. The creator. We are just workers in her kingdom," she finished and he understood.

She was formed out of the hope of the people in the full moon, and she needed them to believe the moon goddess was still alive and still cared for them. The more they believed in her, the more powerful and stronger she got.

“I read about your history. She was your creator.” “Yes. The moon goddess, she goes by many names. Whereas I'd like to call her Serene. The epitome of a living moonlight.” He took her hand and led her down a winding path carpeted with soft moss. “They say she used to walk these very paths. Bathed in that stream over there.” He nodded towards a glittering water.
