It sloped downward, and a dim blue-green light glowed within, begging us to see what secrets it held. Hand in hand, we went down together, using our wings to push us farther, deeper. After a long time, we arrived at a glistening cavern filled with all manner of shimmering gems. They sparkled faintly from the ceiling, the floor, and the walls. There were red ones, blue ones, green, and orange ones. As soon as we entered, they began to shine brightly, like a rainbow of light. Dazzled, we sheltered our eyes until they became accustomed to the brightness. And then we saw him. In the center of the jeweled space, a sea dragon lay curled into a scaly ball like that of a white rose. Instead of clawe

For the three kingdoms located on this continent, they have each found unique ways to take advantage of this and have either managed to tame said creatures or figure out ways to use them to their advantage. The eastern continent is known as the Dragon Continent. While 'Dragon' may be the name they used, this continent is filled with serpent, reptilian and amphibian type creatures. So far, only one race has been capable of dealing with these creatures with little effort on their part, hence why this Continent is solely the kingdom for Merfolk.

Together with his sister, they flew around the cave, twisting and twirling around one another, always together, just like all dragons carry fire within their blood. The third egg shone pearl white, traced with lines of pink, blue, and yellow that reflected the light casting rainbows. When that egg began to hatch, it did not open all the way, instead a single webbed claw punched a hole in its surface, just big enough for Oaestr to see inside. When she did, she was delighted to find a little dragon swimming inside a small pool of water. He was brightly colored, with gently curving fins that swirled around him. “Oh!” She was delighted. “How lovely you are. A child of the water, you belong to th

“Yes.” The softly whispered answer echoed around us. It struck down deep in our souls and tugged at the bond between our dragons and our mate. Strong male laughter pulled us out of our thoughts and back to the present. The very odd present where we sat with Isla’s parents at the bottom of the World Sea. “Child,” Jörmungandr says gently, “part of the process of sealing a bond with a dragon is that the female will give the beast a name.” “What about her dragon?” Björn asked. “Does she have a name? Or do we give her one?”

He said he hated the idea of sleeping apart, and since he was King, he would like to see who would tell him not to. By evening, the babies’ christening started, and floating lanterns were lit up in the sky; it was Mariah’s first time to witness it, and it mesmerized her. There was enough food and drink, and everyone ate and drank till they couldn’t anymore. The Dragon Prince was named Aithan, son of Alaric, meaning strong warrior, and the Dragon Princess was Adara, daughter of Alaric, meaning beauty and praise. Mariah loved the two names and watched as her family debated who to hold the little ones. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and she found herself praying to Goddess Selene that this

"Old as the sea itself but these islands rarely alter. Ain't the sort that people go to. If I have to update the map, then so be it." Lloyd moved over, leaning to look at the writing, leaning unconsciously closer than he perhaps meant to. "I'm hoping those images don't mean sea dragons?" He gave a shaky laugh, eying the crude form of a beast half submerged in the water. "I'd say I didn't believe in them, but after all this..." "So far we can expect ravenous beast-men and flesh-eating fishes, but no dragons," Nathaniel replied dryly. "Or treasure, for that matter, never heard of any."

Astrid marvels at the intricate web of their creation, attributed to the Sun god Helios. The Weredragons, too, drew him into their fiery domain. Born of the same sun deity, their essence was forged in the crucible of intense ether, granting them the awe-inspiring ability to spew forth torrents of fire. Leading this formidable clan is the figure known as the Dragon king who presides over their fiery realm.

“I’m D'Kohralx Vorian Churgo Desmonda.” Wait. D’Kohralx wasn’t that what Kohl had told her was one of his names? He’d said it first like this dragon…did that mean it was a last name or family name? Isabelle swallowed and held out her hand. “I’m Isabelle Marie Givens.” When the female dragon didn’t move, Isabelle lowered her hand and scrubbed her palm down her wet jeans. “So, Givens, how are you involved with my brother?”

All from that live feed she took at the restaurant. “Yeah, can you believe it? The plan seems to have worked. The new video has gone viral and from what little I saw on the internet myself. They are calling the dragon Callie as in California’s coastal dragon.” Mitch laughed. “I like that. So, my dragon now has a name, much like the Loch Ness Monster, Nessie.” I walk up and put my arms around Mitch’s waist and look up. “Yeah, the only difference is this dragon is real and all mine.”

But the most striking feature was their lantern-shaped eyes with a vicious green gleam. Thorn moved his eyes from the creatures back to Hugo and James, who were clearly struggling to hold their breath. He tried to swim towards them, but the force was too strong to move against. The dragon prince wasn’t suited for the deep water. He tried to shift, but failed. He tried to fight against the force, only to find that his limbs were tangled in seaweed. Just as he was trying to think of a way out, more sirens began gathering around them. A chorus of high pitched voices echoed throughout the water. They were communicating with each other using their peculiar language, and they were steering the d
