Sebastian's POV "Narcissa, you cannot keep doing this!" Narcissa looked at her maids kneeling near her desk like a bunch of dogs. None looked at her, their heads cast down in obedience. How long had they been crouched like that? "Whatever do you mean, dearest?" She had her mask on, playing the part of the sweet princess from over the mountains. Shapes danced below, visions of countless queens who had sought the Goddess’s favor, their souls lost in pursuit.

You are all a long way from home.” “May we please discuss a few things, Alpha?” I ask, moving a little closer. I could only assume this woman is Narissa.
