I can’t believe I was just kicked out of my own home while the ones that I considered my family did nothing but stare. The only one that actually bothered to show any kind of compassion was Zane. I could feel his presence near my room, but he didn't come any closer. He can’t. After being banished, no one is allowed to go near them or communicate in any way. It’s a crime punishable by torture. It didn’t seem like a big deal back then because the banished is supposed to be someone so horrible to a fault that you never even want to be in the same vicinity, but this was different.

**The Banished Luna** **Chapter 1 — Shadows Before the Moon** The moonlight poured through the narrow window, silvering the dust that hung in the air. I tugged my worn cloak tighter around my shoulders as I stacked the last bundle of herbs on the healer’s table. My fingertips were raw from picking nettles all afternoon, but the sting was nothing compared to the constant ache of being invisible. Invisible — except when I was a problem. “Aria, you’re slow again.” The healer’s sharp voice snapped me from my thoughts. She didn’t look up from grinding roots in her mortar. “If you can’t keep up, I’ll tell Beta Rowan to find someone else.”

“Welcome home. I wished you’d have brought her with you. I miss her so much.” It’s a really touching moment, the Alpha realizing he has a son from a previous relationship. The Luna accepting him immediately. Which is unusual, as they want their offspring to ascend. But I have one question. “Who banished Natalia, then?” They all looked at me. “Well, Nix wasn’t banished. So, it must have been his mother while she was pregnant with him. So, who did it and why?”

"I have failed the pack. I have failed Alicia, and I have failed my duties as the Alpha." In the end, he said, "From now on, I will leave the Moonshade pack and spend the rest of my life seeking redemption." I heard that he went to the Rogue wastelands in the south, the harshest training ground for werewolves. Witnesses said he left alone, carrying nothing. Kieran told me all of this. I nodded in acknowledgment, but it stirred no real emotion. That evening, Kieran came to find me. "Want to see the aurora?" he asked.

But instead of helping me, she glared coldly. Then she joined the others. “Banish her!” My heart sank. “You can’t do this!” I cried. But my voice was nothing more than a weak whisper against the roaring chants. My knees buckled, and I collapsed to the ground, finally accepting my fate. Suddenly, a familiar scent surrounded me. Warm. Comforting. Clover. She knelt beside me, her voice soft with concern. “Stay calm. I’ll make sure they don’t banish you, okay?” she whispered.

Nothing can make me forget the humiliation that he caused me. I curl up on the ground, feeling numb and empty. Luna wraps herself around me, keeping me warm and safe. But I don’t feel anything anymore. I don’t care about anything anymore. I just want to disappear. Luna whispers in my ear, “What if I talk to Jackson’s Orion? Maybe he can help us understand what happened." I stopped as he sighed, "That was how he tricked Jackson and then I got banished" "What a deep sad story? Now I understand how it feels when someone says he was rejected by his mate"

I was there, I watched him and talked with him all the way to the library, he he watched me read for hours, not daring to breathe a word except the fact that he wanted to offer me food at first. For those of you keeping track, yes the name of the book is the same as the one that Clint gave to Cara for her 18th birthday, and yes, that was intentional. For the Love of a Guardian will only update three days a week, as Banished Beta is my primary book until it is finished. Once this book is complete, Clint and Lily's story will begin updating daily.
