The last thing I saw through the churning water was Nathan pulling Sarah to safety, not even looking in my direction. My heart froze like ice as consciousness faded. I had loved him for seven years, and with our unborn pup, but still meant less to him than Sarah. He even claimed the baby wasn't his just to justify saving Sarah first.
