Mated to the Alpha Don
I reach out a hand to my younger self, offering it with a tentative smile.
He hesitates for just a moment before placing his small hand in mine. It’s a simple gesture, but it feels monumental in its significance. Together, we walk out of the house that holds so many painful memories, stepping into the light of the forest. The figure of my younger self next to me begins to glow, his body being enveloped in a bright white light.
“Thank you,” he says softly. “For showing me that it’s okay to be me.”
And with those final words, his body becomes obscured from my view as the light completely envelops him before gradually dissipating.
