Secret Infatuation
Alex stammered, starting to get up.
“Don’t tell him I’m here,” I said quickly, grabbing the beer bottle I’d been holding and slipping toward the bathroom.
Alex gave me a confused look but nodded, his trust in me clear.
The bathroom door clicked softly behind me, and I leaned against it, feeling absurdly like a teenager hiding from a parent after sneaking into someone’s house. My wolf growled in irritation, the idea of Nathan so close to Alex stirring a possessive anger that I barely kept in check.
