“Whoever dares to anger my Nara will suffer a terrible plight!” Nara smiled gleefully as she poured herself another glass of red wine and sipped on it.

The air shimmered as Hinata dropped her henge, the shy exterior falling away like a discarded cloak. Gone was the hesitant gaze, the demure posture. Her byakugan flared, swirling with a hunger that Sasuke recognized and, truth be told, relished. "Took you long enough," Sasuke drawled, his voice low and laced with a hint of amusement. "Worried the Dobe would notice you sneaking out, Hyuga?" Hinata's lips curled into a smirk, a stark contrast to her usual gentle expression. "Naruto is... preoccupied," she purred, stepping closer, her movements confident and deliberate. "Besides, you know I always make time for you, Sasuke-kun."

Dante turned slightly toward me, the corner of his mouth twitching in the faintest hint of a smirk. This was a game to him.

a smug voice interrupted, cutting through the sound of the waves. I didn’t even bother hiding my annoyance as I looked up. Nitta Morunaga, Ryuu’s youngest brother, stood over me, smirking like he owned the beach. He dropped onto the sand without waiting for an invitation, his tattooed chest and arms on full display in nothing but a pair of shorts. “Ryuu’s not much for small talk,” he continued, his tone light and irritating. “But I figured I’d introduce myself. You know, break the ice.”

That information came in as befuddlement, but Damon was quick to mask his emotions before they could even leak from his face and replace it with a smirk he usually gives whenever he tortures people. “We both know there is no way you can keep me locked up for more than a split second.” He’d like to see them try, though.

I saw him smirk. “Wait, I remember that smirk. Was that payback?”

He just looked at me with that calm, infuriating smirk, like he was still in control even when I had his life in my hands. My grip tightened. Why wasn’t he afraid? “Pretty doll,” he murmured, folding his arms leisurely behind his head like he was watching a circus show. “What do you think you’re doing?” That smirk, I wanted to rip it off his face. “Wipe that stupid grin off your face,” I snapped, trying to sound fierce, but I wasn’t sure it worked. “Why should I?” he drawled, tone rich with mockery. “You’re entertaining me with your little display of sheer foolishness.”

His gaze was fixed on my pleading ones when he responded with a smirk. “Sure thing.”

The kiss isn’t soft and gentle, or harsh and passionate— it’s merely a brush of lips. A promise of more. He pulls back with a small, satisfied smile. “But I’ll make it easy for you…let’s leave this place, Miyamura”. If Miyamura smiled alluringly before, then this smile can only be described as a full baring of fangs— a look of a predator in the face of the most delicious of prey. “You know what’ll happen once we leave here, right?”. Even as he’s close to getting what he wants, he still tries to feel around for Sorahiko’s feelings. He still tries to give him an out.
