When he opened the door, trouble was indeed waiting: Natalie, glowing from the pool lights, and a tall stranger with a sunburned grin and rolled sleeves.
Natalie was a pretty girl, and everyone who knew her loved her. She stood just to the left of center, her shorter frame lit by the blue glow of the pool lights, her dark brunette hair swept into a glossy clip, and a tan that looked like it came with a warning label. She had curves that tested gravity, thick in the hips, full in the chest, all of it poured into a body-con mini dress that did not come to play. Her laugh came easily, and she knew how to throw a look over her shoulder that could make a priest reconsider his vows.
