“Yes!” Noah hissed, her voice barely above a whisper now, her eyes darting around, scanning the yard for her ex. “I don’t need this drama right now, Nick. If my mom finds out, we'll be in trouble.”
Nick sighed, finally feeling the weight of the situation, though he wouldn’t admit it. He pushed off the canopy and took a step closer to her. They were standing inches apart now, hidden under the shade of the canopy, the pool shimmering just behind them.
